Can GT5 surpass halo3 sales?

What do you think? im surprised GT5P has sold 3M even though this game should've been a just a free demo like the ones we download on PSN. Imagine GT5 a full game with added features and improved game.

I'm sure its possible, but GT is not nearly as big as it used to be

Depends how many GT players are now playing Forza 2 because the Playstation user base is obviously small compared to previous gens.

Compare halo 1, 2 and 3 sales with GT games and you will see that they wont outsell halo 3, Plus halo 3 has a casual appeal GT dosent. And MS advetises there games a hell of a lot better then sony, so I wouldnt be surprised if Halo: ODST outsells GT5 this holiday (if GT5 is coming out this holiday)Wii_Gamer_277

Only Halo 3 has outsold any of the GT games.

Obviously, so aside from the hardcore GT fans the 360 was capable of quenching everyone else's thirst for a AAA racer. Those same fans will probably be buying Forza 3, and not GT5 as they own 360's now.

GT3 sold over 15 million, so GT5 has a good chance

It will depend on how large the PS3 userbase is though

I think the full game will be about a little more than the prologue, due to the increase in install base since then. But for the most part, prologue is an indicator of how the full game will sell (and likely why Sony released it in the first place; to test intrest).

I doubt it.

Only because Halo was advertised at places like Burger King. I don't see the hype getting to that point for GT5.

not sure whether it will surpass Halo3 in terms of sales but I think its a game which most probably will hit the 5.5 - 6 million mark... by the time GT5 will be released i strongly believe Sony will have announced already a major price-cut which would boost sales and bring new gamers / old GT fans who'll probably get the game once released.. A GT5 bundle might also push further sales for both console & game..

i know it wont probably happen but imagine the sales boostshould next yearSONY release a mega Ps3 bundle at $319.00 which includes HDMI cables, GOW3 & GT5.. (which also has BC)...

Whats with all these "Will x game surpass halo 3 sales" For one thing 9 million is a record? :| Athough Halo 3 was fast selling and another Halo is an fps and GT5 is racing. Really is it all sales people care about.

No.... not unless the PS3 starts selling like mad.

GT as a serieshas so many sales because there were so many PS1's & PS2's in peoples homes.

I think GT5 will be a game that will sell well for quite a while after launch though..... we'll see I guess.
