Gears isn't exclusive and is a TPS, not a FPS. Gears 2 is a TPS, not a FPS. CoD4 is multiplat. He said "exclusive" FPS franchise. I know what you mean though, those are all better. Unfortunately not exclusive though. Crysis is a PC exclusive and is by far better on every level.

At the level people are hyping if this game doesn't score 9.0 this game is going to be a huge disappointment.

Crysis is a good game imo. I havent beaten it but what i played its good and challenging (first time i ever played with keyboard and mouse after 25 years). With that said. Playing on all high settings i think KZ2 honestly is more pleasing on eyes graphically. For a sandbox game graphically nothing touches Crysis imo.

According to sales, much more people prefer the Wii over PS3/360, does that make it better? Crysis Warhead is better than Halo 3 in every single way. That's my opinion anyway. Considering Crysis has sold around 3 million copies I'd say that's very good considering it's somewhat "steep" requirements. Most people who have played both i think would agree with me on the quality of the two. And I don't think you have played Crysis.

Halo, while a good game, was overrated. Thats obvious. But, it was just a cultural phenomenon for a period of time. It took on a life of its own with all of the hype and good advertising. Its not something that people can predict or make happen just because of a excellent product-even if it is superior to Halo.

So I doubt it. Who knows, maybe the timing is just right for a new FPS phenomenon.

I say no for a few reasons, one of which being Killzone 2 doesn't feature all the features that Halo 3 has (Splitscreen, Co-Op, online Co-Op, Pictures, Theater Mode, Online Stats.) and the fact that most of the games that get dubbed "Halo Killers" end up falling flat on their face and flopping.DarkGamer007

Once again you're just showing you haven't played the game. The graphics are an integral part of the game. The Physics especially are a huge part of the game. I guess Killzone 2's graphics are a gimmick as well? How about MGS4's graphics? Gears 2? Just because a game has good graphics doesn't mean it's a gimmick. The gameplay in Crysis is incredible. The way the Nanosuit powers and such are used in game as well as the sheer amount of things to be done in the sandbox style world. You are only showing that you haven't played Crysis.

I pretty much agree with this.

Can you make a technically better FPS, including online? Yes you can. It's already been done with CoD, amoung others. But if you're asking if it can be an absolute cultural phenomenon like Halo is? That's a pretty high benchmark for any game to accomplish. Halo is like crack for a lot of gamers. If you still have hundreds of thousands of gamers still playing it over a year after its release, then we'll know there's some competiton.

I'm pretty excited for Killzone 2, but my guess is that it'll have a lot of difficulty stealing Halo's thunder.

Halo is the face of console FPS, it won't be dethroned.

High profile marketing machine, and the proof is in the marketing deals in the past. Like it or not, Master Chief is a gaming icon for both the turn of the century and microsoft itself.

Killzone has nothing on Halo, to be fair there is promise for KZ2, but it has a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNGGG way to go.
