I'm getting all three on PC.

Persona V is not big outside of Japan I don't know how fanboys don't know this a lot of gamers don't even know what Persona is
A lot of games don't know what scalebound is either, less gamers know about divinity original sin 1 and 2 than either one of the other games by a huge chunk.
Outside Japan? Doubt it.
Persona's lifetime sales is at around 6 million spanning 5 mainline games, 6 spin offs, 6 remakes and a bunch of enhanced ports and dozens of mobile games. All these few dozen games have a combined sales of 6 million copies sold, and Persona is far bigger in japan than it is in the west.
Divinity: Original Sin: Enchanced Edition sold over one million on Steam alone. This means that the console ports and Gog versions are not counted.
And those are just the statistics. On a personal anecdote, next to no one in my university knew what Persona was... Divinity: Original Sin on the other hand.
Persona's sales are evenly split between Japan and the West. The series has sold 6.2 million worldwide, out of which 3.14 million was sold in Japan, meaning about 3.06 million was sold in the West.

Which is divided into a lot of games and remakes. Of which, most likely includes a lot of people buying multiple games in the same franchise, as well as remakes. With Divinity I took only the total owners of the Enhanced edition, which has over 1 million owners on Steam.
In the west, and especially in Europe. Divinity seems to be more well known. Of course, my view may probably be biased here. Since I live in one of the most PC gaming oriented countries out there. And anime is generally looked down upon, and very niche.
Lets not underestimate the popularity of Divnity: Original Sin. That game was afterall, the top seller on Steam for around a month. And that is quite a feat.

I wasn't comparing to Divinity though. I was pointing out that most of Persona's sales are not just coming from Japan, but the series is selling just as much outside Japan.
Here in the UK, Persona and Divinity are both very niche (console gaming is more dominant here). And last I heard, anime and manga are quite popular in France and Germany, where the comic-book markets are dominated by manga.

So it's not even big in Japan. 6.2 million sales is not good at all for a franchise that has been going for 20 years now. It's a very niche game Divinity Original Sin is bigger than that.

Persona is fairly niche in Japan as well, though not as niche as in the West. And Persona didn't start getting popular until Persona 3 & 4, with most of the franchise's sales coming after Persona 4 released.
I do want to point out Persona 4 alone has sold 1.6 million copies worldwide. Anybody pretending that the franchise is not on an upswing, and that Persona 5 won't be a million plus seller (at least 1.5-2 million copies worldwide), breaking it out of its niche at least somewhat, is deluding themselves.
Proud to see people telling the real truth about person 4. Persona V is looking better but I'm not too sure what is going to be borrowed from persona 4. None of these will be awful games but my money is on scalebound. The K man never disappoints.

There we go, some actual statistics on what is arguably the most popular game in the franchise.
So divide it by 2 and you get 0.8. In other words, below Divinity: Original Sin. Which was my point all along :)
Both Persona 5 and Divinity: Original Sin 2 should outperform their predecessors in terms of sales quite easily. With indicators being the much greater hype P5 had over P4 and the fact that Divinity: Original Sin 2 had more than twice the kickstarter funding than the first game.

Yeah, I probably worded myself poorly if people had to point that out. Yup, Persona is arguably one of the more well known and popular jRPGs in the west nowadays. Its no Final Fantasy or Pokemon. But it is up there.
Anyways, I am from Sweden, which is huge on PC gaming, so the lack of awareness of Persona here probably doesnt surprise you.
In terms of overall quality, maybe?
These three games appeal to completely different tastes. Not saying that they can't be compared, but the kind of person who craves a game type like D:OS2 is looking for something far different than what a game like Scalebound is going for. These titles are only loosely in the same genre.
