The problem is the PS3 doesn't have many games that appeal to a lot of people. Basically, when you buy a PS3, you get games for it. With the Xbox 360, you get games, and buy an Xbox 360 for it. PlayStation 3 doesn't have any games that say "OMG I NEED this game." The PS2 had those type of games, the PS3 does not. It is not worth $299.

Yes very believable by your signature. exclusives i have for 360= Gears 1 &2, Halo 3 , Exclusives i have for ps3= Uncharted, Motorstorm 1 &2, Killzone 2, infamous, Little big planet. So i would disagree with your comment on no WOW games,
while to you (and many other people here), those are the WOW I MUST HAVE GAMES, Ahugecat makes a valid point. The ps3, in the eyes of the consumer, does not have that game yet.
MGS4 is the closest thing to the OMG I NEED game on the ps3, but even then, it has a weak attach rate compared to games like halo 3 and mario kart wii
MGS4 is the type of game that enhances the OMG I NEED this system. Like the PS2 - its killer apps were Grand Theft Auto III and Final Fantasy X, while Metal Gear Solid 2, Devil May Cry and Jak and Daxter supported this.
