For the person that said Pokemon is boring cause all they do is tweak the graphics and add more monsters is horribly utterly wrong. What more do they do in Halo? Tweak graphics and add more guns. Oh wow. How amusing. Pokemon has more depth then Halo could ever dream about, and I'm a Halo fan as well.

Meh... when you start citing "Brain Academy" games as big holiday hitters, there has to be something wrong...

I never said anything about Halo being anything different. I'm just saying Pokemon needs to change. It needs to blossom instead of being content where it is. I made some suggestions earlier, but you only read what you want to.

No, not insecure. Your statement about me trying to pass off Small Arms as SSB was condecending. Making an assumption that I haven't really played it because I don't like it and you do. God forbid someone not liking SSB!rhaigun
When did I ever imply you didn't? :| You could have played it, and I still could say you're just having a misconeption or actually wrong on a few things. Like how it's repetitive, well my dear friend there's a plethora of game modes, items, stages, etc to use to keep it from so, but hey it can be still to some.

It doesn't matter to me if you like it or not, we all have our own tastes, I know that.

They buy systems though. Pokemon has changed. Alot. Look at Red/Blue heck even Ruby/Sapphire compared to Diamond and Pearl. There is a huge difference in the amount of depth in it.

Well, for me, it didn't do a very good job. Admit it, the trophies and stuff were kind of lame rewards.

Obviously neither Sony or Nintendo have enough to do better, but Nintendo has enough to slow it down (although Xbox 360 will have a very impressive remainder of this year methinks)

You do know software sales is where the money is at right? I imagine the game attatchment rate for the 360 is far greater than the Wii. For instance, I have 12 games for the 360. My brother has 2 games for his Wii.

I do know this. The attach rate of the Wii is currently at 4, only to improve as time goes by. This does NOT include VC games either.

I'm rooting for Yoshi_64 here!!! Since he's a comrade of mine!!! But seriously, he made a great point that the Wii's fall/winter lineup can compete against titles like Halo 3 and GTAIV!!! Why??? For one thing the price of both the 360 and PS3 alienate the casuals unless Microsoft dropped the price of the 360 later this year!!! There is no doubt that the 360 already has a fanbase over 10 million which will help Halo and GTA pass the 1 million mark this x-mas, but people are forgetting that SSB franchise is still a big franchise and it can now be bigger with the fact that Japan now supports the Wii over the PS3 and 360 and not to mention that Mario is a very big franchise and I can garentee that SMG will sell!!!

We shall see what will happen and I want this thread to be book marked for future ownage to see who's right and who's wrong!!!

Clarify "Stuff" unlocking new stages, characters, modes, events? I don't think so. :|

Trophies IMHO were a great addition for replay value. It was great seeing back on Nintendo's history through these things, and even learning a few things in the process. Each his own really, I avidly collected the trophies in the game.

Besides, who's to say that one game will just take all sales? Holidays are when people spend a large sum of money of gifts and items, for all we know many games can sell over the 1 million market that holiday. But we shall see...

Thanks for the support. :P

Halo, while it may be adored by MANY lemmings, is one of the most over-rated games ever. Its fun, but, its not the epic that everyone says it is.

GTA is not a AAA franchise. the GTA PSP games prove otherwise. Halo is not either. Most people should learn by now there is no "AAA" franchise.

Game quality wise? Probably not. Endfinal

Probably not no... Its not like Nintendo's first party team isn't the best around with the best quality and workmanship in their games. NO NO, you are absolutely right there./sarcasm

Yes they will, the Wii has their biggest games coming out that are first party. New Super Mario Bros sold DS lite's like crazy (not that it needed any help) When mario Galaxy comes out its going to be a freakin explosion of Wii's.

Not only that, Smash Bros sold AS MUCH yes yes it did, as HALO 2. To say Smash Bros won't do it again is dumb. Smash bros will rival all others on its own.

Metroid Prime 3, No More Heroes, Project Hammer, Disaster Day of Crisis are all hardcore games coming out not to mention the casuals will get Big Brain Academy among others.

Thats just to name a few. So yes, absolutely, the Wii will be fine.
