Can we safely say now Xbox 360 is winner of 2011 ?

Gears of War 3 getting 9.5 from G.S and being considered as best shooter 2011 ( High chances of winning GOTY 2011 ) . Or should we wait for Uncharted 3 : Drakes Deception release and review to make our judgement ? :)

Nope PC and Nintendo win 2011. Can't be the true version of Battlefield 3, Skyward Sword, and Super Mario 3D Land.

I don't dispute the fact that Gears 3 seems to be an awesome game, and personally I'm drooling all over it and can't wait for it to hit the PC (in about 10 years or so) . But still.. it's ONE exclusive. If that ONE exclusive is all you live for in console gaming, then yeah the 360 has "won" 2011 for you. Also, it's not like the 360 library has seen the light of good exclusives (prior to this one). And yeah holding out for forza 4 and UC3 is a good idea also.

And games like Project Draco, Fable Journey, Ryse seem very promising too next year

Plus it gets all the other high profile games like Dark SOuls, FF13-2, Crysis 1 remake etc

screw the exclusives lets go on what performance the systems have to let them win gameplay sell rate brakages and rate off that cmon exclusives are a bonus

A sequel up to the triple everybody else has played since 2006, after 9 months of Kinect games, standards have been lowered. I am curious if Gears van even obtain AAA status on metacritic.

Can't, since both are on PC.

PC will have the best version of Skyrim, and the 360 only gets timed, not exclusive DLC. Same with ME3.

Woo...more floppage for the Kinect train.

All of which are on PS3 also.

Gear can get dust off the 360 for a a fe weeks, hurray! Rejoice.

As awesome as Gears 3 might be, one great game isn't enough to put the 360 above all of the PS3's other great games this year. Plus, the year isn't even over yet.

The 360 has more high scoring games this year. Kinect was a success, move was a failure. And it has widened the gap in hardware sales. I think it's safe to say the 360 is "winning" this year(like every year.)Miketheman83

Flop of wars 3 only got 91 in metacritic, compared to Little Big Planet 2 that got 92. So PS3 have a higher rated AAAE and also Resistance 3, Infamous 2 and Killzone 3 (which is awesome BTW, definitely AAAE quality) and then we still got Uncharted 3, Journey and Payback the heist.

I doubt that a 5 year old would be capable of playing LBP2 properly.

i don't think you could ever safely say that :? the only thing its 'winning' in is having the highest scoring game this year and people are already just resorting to quoting metacritic to say its not winning in that either.
