Casual gamers are ruining gaming as we know it

Diablo 3 could have been an absolute masterpiece. A lot of people say diablo 2 was a casual game to begin with... ok? then why did the go the SUPER CASUAL root, they could have turned this casual game series into something bigger and badder, nicer gothic graphics instead of the kid baloony WOW style.

Halo reach also went the casual root trying to suck in all the cod fans, got rid of the 1 - 50 rank system and their excuse is "boosting" but we all know its because the casual noobs dont want to be told they suck at the game.

The only thing bungie ever had to do was add new weapons, levels, vehicles and graphics. Thats what halo 1 - 3 did with adjustments to gameplay for the better and skillful.

also id call halo 3-reach hardcore cause every limb has a set damage it will do to your health head being the obvious marker. and you actually have to unload jump around and strat

now unlike most fps that are just one shot kills like cod and crysis 2 arent hardcore.

Casual gamers have been around forever. I seriously doubt they're ruining gaming.

If there's anything ruining gaming it's on-disc DLC and developers forcing MP onto us to force less used games sales.

Nope games arent fun anymore because they hold my hand like a little child I DONT NEED HINTS TO PLAY MY GAMES. im in my late 20s and modern games are treating me like some 5 year old playing a video game for the first time.

It is.

Gaming is a medium made for entertainment purposes, not a necessity for survival, designed to be played whenever someone feels like it, to remove the boredom, etc. All entertainment mediums are the same, music, movies, Television shows, etc, all of them were made for casual entertainment.

Whether you wanna go hardcore with it is up to you.

The kids who were sheltered from mature games untill they were 17 are the type of people who do school shootings like va tech.

You don't know sh*t. You weren't even out of diapers when I graduated university. Gaming has always had casuals and has always been casual first and foremost.

This thread is full of losers that like to pretend they are "hardcore" and superior to those they deem "casual", I'm not sure what "hardcore" gaming means but no one here is "hardcore". Gaming is a hobby, your all "casual" gamers, if you think otherwise you need to pull your head out of your ass and stop judging people.

Diablo 3 and Halo Reach are all alright games in their own way, if your not happy with them then it's just your taste and no one else's. Besides if your using the term "casual" as many people on here do to refer to games like COD, then Halo and Diablo have always been "casual" games because they have been popular.

That would make games like Resistance or Witcher "hardcore" because they are less popular. See the terms are jokes and everyone who uses them to sepearte people is a joke too.
