Kodu (which is Boku) is a programming language, not really a game.SpruceCaboose

I work with .Net and Java, and have to use a keyboard. I dont know of any languages that let you use a 360 controller.

LBP is very expensive for a version of Gmod.Parasomniac

Its not really a level creator, more a simple game creator thing. Like a dev kid for beginners.

By the look of those pictures it looks fun but its no where near the level of LBP interms of graohics and all the things that make it price worthy.

Still, I might get it if its good.

And to those saying you must pay to get the game, W-R-O-N-G.

If you have silver (which is free) you can download any demoes and games from XBL, you can do pretty much everything apart from online gaming, so get your facts straight :roll:

My understanding is that this is NOTHING like LBP. LBP is an actual, stand alone game that provides tools and everything you see in the game to build your own levels. You aren't given code to make your own game...you are still playing LBP. You can only make LBP levels to extend the game you've already bought. You may as well be comparing people who bought a book to people who downloaded a shareware word processing program.

And with LBP you can share levels with other users. There is so far no indication that is possible with Kodu. And if the intent is to get people making games that can go on XBL...my understand of XBL is that you have to pay MS to put your game on the servers and then MS profits by charging downloaders.

While Kodu seems cool, it is absolutely nothing like LBP and probably won't appeal to as wide an audience as LBP does.

Man the cows are so slow today. All the cows missed the Runs on XBox 360 and PC part so I'll point it out now and be first to say:

Not exclusive! Nyaah Nyahh! i have a PC that runs Windows and I can play this without buying a 360! I'll blindly disregard the fact both are made by the same companyso i'll either have paid 99$ for Vista or $199 for a 360, but at least I can say Not exclusive! Nyaah Nyahh!

Seeing as both Boku and LBP was first Announced back in March, 2007. :shock: (Nothing new with fanboys;))

you can try to rationlize being ripped off all you want but your still being ripped off.

There are plenty of programming languages that are based on images or icons. Having to type with a keyboard is not a requirement for a programming language.
