isint Kodu a website?weddy92No, its a programming language 5 people at MS came up with specifically to make simple games.
You know, free=/=good. LBP, for what it offers, is worth the price of $60. It already comes with levels created by the development team and you can play levels created by PSN members. Who knows if Kodu will already come with levels built right in.game_masta14Yeah, but when it comes to live vs psn, then free = teh WIN!
You think they're going to give Kodu away for free?angelkimneThat is their plan. Selling a programming language that limited is kinda hard.

Well people are still gonna try call Kodu a ripoff of LBP, let me just kill this (coming from a Cow btw, I'm just not blind):
Kodu was shown to the media for the first time before LBP. Back then known as Boku.

Also, you might want to know that Media Molecule (the studio that created LBP) was formed by Ex-Lionhead studio members. You know, the same Lionhead that is a subsidiary of Microsoft.

I still don't see the comparison. LBP is a AAA video game that has level editing tools. The gameplay for LBP is already set. Doesn't really seem like the creation tools for microsoft is going for the same thing.
BTW LBP is worth $60 seeing as thats what most videogames cost.
Idk this looks pretty stupid. This just seems tacky and made just to get at Little Big Planet. Just a fast and cheap way. I think Little Big Planet will still be a better "game". But i guess well just have to wait to see what Koku really is.
are we forgetting why it's free? It's because it is a team set up for education and experiments in a way, and in this case introducing the computer programming field to kids, and really, just more people. This **** looks good. Just as good as LBP, but less game-like. It's essentially a polished, easier, and more versatile RPG maker. LBP is a level creator.Free?? I thought PS Home was supposed to be the best thing ever, and it was FREE.
Well I guess people never learn. You get what you pay for - or not pay for, for that matter.

and to the poster before me, why wouldn't they? the normal person doesn't like to create things? I think you mean the non gamer wouldn't care (and would they really care about lbp either?)
