Wow... SW is full of young... americanized gamers?

The game is beautiful. I haven't felt this great about playing a game since... Super Contra. Playing it purely for the fun and the immersion in the witty story that will just catch you in its charm, not because of stupid achievements or points.

Point is, great game design (the battle system is excellent, I don't care what anyone says), and the story is evoking. Gamers play these games.

[QUOTE="LampLove"][QUOTE="Ragnarok1051"]You missed out on soooooooo much.LampLove

actually 16bits isn't a lot

I mean you missed the SNES, Genesis, PS1, N64, and I presume you also missed the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance.

16, 32, 64 bits, whatever dude, it's all an eyesore.

People like you, graphic whores, will never enjoy a single game beyond it's eye candy.

You did miss out on so much. I hope you don't think you are a real gamer, or a gamer of any kind.

Gaming must be all about the looks to you. Shame.

You've never experienced the best until you've played chrono trigger. Just give it a chance, you won't regret it.

What's so good about Chrono Trigger anyway, I mean, seriously? I found it very boring, even FF6, FF7 and FFX are way better than it.

First some positive things, I have to say I loved that it didn't have any random encounters and that you could sneak past enemies, etc. Also liked the combat system, and with using different abilities with different party members, and I'm also a sucker for time-travel stories (as long as they're good that is).

So, of course, at start all this sounded good, and when I started playing it, I just couldn't get past the annoying characters, and setting, and god knows what else. Take some of your party members for example, Robo, a fat annoying piece of **** robot, who would design a robot to be fat anyway? What a waste, and the worst: A **** frog knight namned... Frog! Wow. Mind-blowing right there.

And then you go back in time, like 10.000 BC or something, and, the people speak English! After this I played one hour or so more, and since then I haven't continued, and this was a long time ago.

Even the music ain't that great as people make it out to be.

Maybe the game catches up later, but it was to tedious to go on.

Needs less port and moar sequel.foxhound_fox
Still, a port is better than nothing. I've always wanted chrono in my pocket. Although it would have been nice if they gave it some kind of upgrade...

Dude those are the worst complaints ever.

Robo doesn't even talk very much, so I don't understand how you can say that an almost mute character is a annoying.

Frog isn't a cool character because of his name.He has a deep personality, and a strong motive.

Why do they speak engish? So we can understand them. It's a game, not a history lesson.

All the things you liked about it are the most important stuff, gameplay and story. If you would only give the characters chance you would probably warm up to them.

The story wasen't very good either :/ I mean, you travel back and forth and you have to get a sword to defeat evil, yay! But I didn't progress so far as you can see, but as I said it became way to tedious to go on.

As much as it's understandible to call CT the best JRPG of all time. What is the point of releasing it on the DS with barely any upgrade? Ok theres 1 new dungeon and stylus controls. Still doesn't justify paying full price for this game. I guess they can get away with it, cause of all the ports they done on the GB advance.

Not even close. I guess adding -ish on the end of it was your insurance policy in case you were wrong. Yeah, you were way off. Commenting negatively on games a person knows nothing about is a recipe for pwnage.

More then a decade off. I played lots of NES/SNES games, but I could never get into turn-based games. I remember when I first played one, I was like,"WTH?? The characters fight for you?!?".

Worst rental ever.

I said -ish because I watched gameplay footage, and it was turn-basedish. There is no denying it.

Wow, we can finally agree on something.

That you're blinded by nostalgia? Haven't played any RPGs since? Oh okay.

I hate it when people think that things are better now because we have better technology. Remember the time pirates of the carribean was better than rocky? Remember?>?>>>>>>??????

Actually its realtime and no transistions.

It's still turn-basedish(take note of the "ish")

Turn-based=boring

Hence the yawn.

It's a port..WTF do you expect? And FFX style TB is horrible imo and i dont' like TB in general but sometimes it's ok...CT's style is ok, it's active turn based depending on speeds.

Slightly enhanced graphics, an extra dungeon and stylus controls.

Eh, trailer looks fine.

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/35888.html

If I can play Advance Wars and look at crappy sprites for hundreds of hours, this should be fine.

That all looks and sounds exactly like the SNES original. I didn't see anything relating to the DS. Hell, I would've accepted Magus's castle on two screens, or drawing the lines for your X strike, but nothing.
