[QUOTE="OremLK"]Well, the 360 controller pretty much guarantees that any multiplatform will have better controls than its counterpart on the PS3.CR00K
DMC4 is supposed to control a lot better than the 360 version with the 360 version have a small edge on visuals.

THe PS3 had good controls while the 360 version felt awkward

[QUOTE="ejstrup"]better only community?! There are far too many little kids with mics on xbox live, buddyFuzzy_Munch

There is a little thing called MUTE you can mute whoever you want.

I played the COD4 beta and it was mostly older gamers it's Hale that see the kiddies more. And Bungie fixed that with button for talk and MUTE feature.

so how is the mic advantage an advantage when u mute half the community?

It's just that simple. 360 will have a much better online community as they always do with multiplat games.

And just about everyone will be uning mics and coordinating. Whereas PS3I guarantee there will be far less mics being used.

Hmm yeah this is a game that just says HEY canI have some RUMBLE please for my gun recoil and airstrike explosions and such.

Who knowsI believe both will look about the same. I think the 360 may have a slightly better AA for smoother graphics. But this is not that big of a deal. But the 2 othersI mentioned, Is and if you have a 360 AND A ps3 it'sA no brainer 360 VERSION ALL THE WAY.

Fuzzy_Munch

i like psn better then live because its free and alot less annoying little kids. and the graphics are goign to the same. and last i herd the ps3 will have deticated servers

If you still "enjoy" the Xbox Live community, you're either

1) Deaf

2) An Idiot

3) 15 or under

Your online community argument has no validity, whatsoever.

If anything, I'm apt to believe PSN has a better online community simply because the system costs more, therefor catering to a slightly older (thus mature) audience.

Unless I'm playing with friends I don't use a mic anyways. Anonymity has pretty much ruined all internet communities. And I don't care about rumble, just like I don't care about motion control.

Yyyyyep, this is the reason UT3 PS3 won't feel as good as UT3 360.... + no rumble.

Has anyone on this board played TF2, Orange Box, for 360 online? Apparently everyone has only been talking about Gears and Halo 3 online and only seeing what they want to see. I have heard only 3 "kids" playing in the last 2 weeks of playing TF2 (I have 1000/1000 gamerscore if you want proof GT-Agade, send me a message)... the game is VERY voice demanding, you need to let your teammates know if there are spies in the area, where enemys are coming from, where the enemy has the breifcase and where they are heading, where/how you plan on attacking, where your going to set up defensive turrets for the maximum benefit, how are you going to be able to play a decent game of TF2 when only 1-10% of people with a PS3 has a Mic? Even when I have to listen to "kids" play I still would rather have great coordination rather than nobody talking at all.

i don't even use the mic anymore. the little kids and the racists ruined the experience for me.Always-Honest

Aren't mics for annoying bossy fowl-mouthed people?! Ya that sounds like fun. It's already been stated many times that the PS3 version looks slightly better because it has better lighting. No more multiplats will be better on 360. All the devs have learned how the PS3 works now.

Ahhh consoles.... what would we non-nerds do without them though eh?

I will be getting this for my PS3 rather than my 360 though. I think the PS3 games look better on my shelf than my 360 games (I normally hide those behind the sofa out of sight - The white boxes are just.... ugh....).

People that play R6 Vegas on PS3 practically all use mics and the same will be for Orange Box. I use a mic and lots of others do too.

Mics are way overrated. I used to play the 360 and I didn't use one any more then than I do on PS3.

[QUOTE="Ragashahs"]you better hope it also does't include that XBL lag that comes with nearly every game. and i thinks some guy already said PS3 version will look better.
Fuzzy_Munch

I'm sorry but i do not have any clue what lag you speak of and for that matter the rest of the cows who claim this. I have a good cable connection and i run smooth as butter always. And most of us on live do also. You must have that cheesy 768 grade dsl.

Anyway. Only times you get lag on live is if the game has bad netcode and thats just the developers fault. Live runs very smooth with a good cable connection. You speak on not truth and myths my good buddy.

The 360 lags get over it. I play i on a cable connection and Halo 3 will lag in a 8 player round while warhawk want even slowdown in a 32 player match.

Thus brings me back to my original point, it is nearly impossible to have an efficient, coordinated game of TF2 without mics/communication. You have failed to show proof that what I say is untrue therefore I believe this argument is over.

A PS3 owner who plays online agree's with me that not over 30% of PS3 users has a Mic, If you can prove to me that a majority of PS3 users has a mic (50%+) I will admit ownage and say that it is possible to have a great coordinated game of TF2 with the PS3.

1) COD4 for PS3 will not have rumble support, you can quote me on it. Or else every game before Ape Escape (one of my all time favorite games) would have rumble support. 2) Ok you used an opinion, with XBL you get what you paid for 3) Just because you don't like to use your mic doesn't mean it is/isn't necessary for a coordinated game

I also get what I pay for with PSN: Online Play, Mic Support, Freinds list, Messaging, a online store, Free Demos and Trailers, and add on content. THe only thing it dosent have is a video Marketplace, but Sony is talking about getting on of those up. Seems like I get almost everything XBL offers, for Free.

Notice how most of those things you have came AFTER XBL introduced it? PSN is still playing catchup and XBL gets new features every 6ish months....

[QUOTE="mastarifla"][QUOTE="black_awpN1"]PS3 is going to have rumble, I can play online games onmy PS3 just fine for FREE, and I personaly dont like to use Mic chat very much (there are people who have mics, you know) So you failed on two out of three points (the other being a opinon of mine.) mastarifla

Of course all thsoe features where in XBL. XBL is the cornerstone of Console Online play, no one can deny that. IF there good ideas, sony would have to be an idiot not to include them.

Well, the 360 controller pretty much guarantees that any multiplatform will have better controls than its counterpart on the PS3.OremLK

oh really? the 360s d-pad is pathetic, the dualshock is better for fighters, rpgs, sports games, pretty much everything but shooters. the 360 controller is bulkier so unless you have huge hands i dont see whyd u want the 360 controller over the ps3 version unless youve ALWAYS used the xbox controller. like i said, BAD BAD D-pad.

you better hope it also does't include that XBL lag that comes with nearly every game. and i thinks some guy already said PS3 version will look better.

OXM Magazine:

The core gameplay is, as fans of Call of Duty 2 would expect, top-notch. Weapons are balanced, grenades are useful but not overpowered, and lag is nonexistent

Hope that puts your fears to rest. Buy the 360 game (and an xbox 360, if needed) and play the superior console version.

Ahhh consoles.... what would we non-nerds do without them though eh?

I will be getting this for my PS3 rather than my 360 though. I think the PS3 games look better on my shelf than my 360 games (I normally hide those behind the sofa out of sight - The white boxes are just.... ugh....).

A gamer calling another gamer a nerd? I think i've heard it all.

has the epiphany bloomed in your head now? That is a reason why we pay for XBL, to get the great features first. It's like sitting in first class compared to coach.

How can you say a game isn't meant to be played on consoles? If every one of those games had keyboard/mouse support for 360 guess what? It pretty much becomes able to be played on consoles very well, especially if your computer isn't up to date, of course there is no dedicated servers/user created content but the premise is the same.

It's call P2P, which makes the Ps3 version better. But who knows with the rest, but I know this, gameplay online when it comes for xbox live it suks.

Ok listen the D-pad on the 360 is not the best for fighters. We all know this. But for Racers it is the best AKA triggers. Shooters no contest. Analog stick precision and smoothnes >>>PS3 controller. Oh yeah rumble out of the box for years. Sports games no issues with either that is VOID for both. So all PS3 controller would be better for is fighters. And 360 is better for racers shooters and Equal for sports and has rumble. So =360 controller>>>PS3 controller. Just ask just about all ga mesites and Mags they all say the 360 controller is one of the finest ever created.

1) You can screen out anyone that bothers you. It sounds like talking with people may not be your 'thing'

2)Hearing your team is always prefferable if you enjoy coordination, which is something that requires headsets. PSN users didn't get a headset with their console, so you may as well be playing against bots,

Look, theres certain games in this world that are just ment to be played on certain systems. Try playing counter Strike on Xbox and you'll know what i mean. It just doesn't feel right.

So you are relying on Infinity Ward to create your servers for you to play on... what happens when Call of Duty 5/ 4 Expansion comes out and they kill off CoD4's servers to promote it? (See MGS3 Substance/ PO) Plus look at the article above, Xbox360 version has virtually no lag due to the awesome netcode work

all i want to know is this...does every game on the PS3 have a dedicated server? Rainbow six? COD4? Motorstorm? thats all I'm curious about, all the multi-plat games are they non-dedicated on the 360 but dedicated on the PS3?

I really don't know, but if the majority of games are not dedicated then I don't understand what we are arguing about.

if Rainbow Six is non-dedicated on the PS3, then there has to be lag, every system gets lag, PC, 360, PS3. I just don't get what we are arguing about.

can someone please enlighten me?

Where is all this notious XBL lag everyone always talks about? In the past monthI have played Gears of War, Splinter Cell, Crackdown, Chromehounds, Shadow run, Battlefield 2, and Halo 3 online. And not during any of those game sessions did I encounter this cursied lag storm people seem to attribute to LIVE.

But yeah onto the point.I really don't think there will be much differentce between the two versions on COD4. The XBL community is good, but nothing exceptional. the PSN community is on par I'd say.

I've seen far too many lame graphics comparison threads showing degraded screens of eachversion and suped up CGI looking screensto even begin to judge which version will look better.

Aside from all this the TC is a notorious PS3 bashed, and 360 worshoper so I wouldn't take much stock in his opinion.

Yea you can be right, but the truth hurts, problem is that we're paying *XBOX LIVE* for non-dedicated servers for no reason. It's already been proven before, plus xbox team says it should be free. Besides the only game I know that has dedicated servers is RS...

Jbul

If you still "enjoy" the Xbox Live community, you're either

1) Deaf

2) An Idiot

3) 15 or under

Your online community argument has no validity, whatsoever.

If anything, I'm apt to believe PSN has a better online community simply because the system costs more, therefor catering to a slightly older (thus mature) audience.

So, you are saying that there is not a single cool person on live? I think YOUR argument about the community has no validity. I have met many awesome people on live. And I play live VERY often and I don't come across that many kids. Halo 3 was actually the only game I came across annoying racist kids.

And to your PSN point. To believe that because something costs more that it filters out morons and a holes? To believe that you either have to be:

1) Blind

2) An Idiot

3) Deaf

If you have ever seen a spoiled brat get something expensive you will know how unintelligent you sound. I don't know if you have seen the crap show Sweet 16, but that is a prime example of the kind of people that get "expensive" things sometimes.
