Most Ps3 owners are either middle age working class man or college students. Thus, Most of them are bussy right now. Ps3 software sales will skyrocket in christmas you'll see.

Lol now that's not something I can confirm.... But I myself am a college student too, and I don't have as much time to kill playing video games, and it's hard buying every game when you gotta pay for school too.

So, now LPB and Resistance 2 are no good because they aren't selling like blockbuster GeoW2? Uh oh. I thought I was having fun all month, but you straightened me out. I will be a good boy and only play my limited edition copy of GeoW2 and have fun with only that. I bought Left4Dead, but that's not outselling GeoW2, I better burn that too. SolidTy

PS3 gamers are shocked that they have more than one good game to choose from this year. Give it a couple weeks and the shock will wear off.

Either that or they just like multi-plats better. =/

I'm guessing that many PS3's were sold for their BlueRay function only. All the hardcore PS3 gamers got theirs and play the games, but the number of gamers is significanly smaller than the number of systems sold as proven with game sales to console ratio.

I think some might be thinking if LBP and Resistance 2 is so great how come their sales even combined sales aren't that great compared to one game on the other HD console.   The reality is that sure the PS3 can play games too but I'm pretty sure everybody outside these gaming forums bought a PS3 for a blu ray player.  If there's one thing Sony is good advertising is they're good at advertising their blu ray movies.

There's no games left for the PS3 for the rest of the season but I'm happy they have movies like Wall E and Hancock and heck even The Dark Knight coming up.  Can't wait for those movies.

well i'll will help out this evening since am buying LBP and when its released in EU will get R2 :) so there you go 2 more games sold for PS3 :)

but i'll help 360 too since i might pick up L4D this weekend :)

I do find it sort of sad. Here on these forums the ps3 fans hype every game that comes out. People say they will purchase the ps3 games etc... which would imply solid sales for ps3 software eh ? No not just these forums either, but others as well. I guess folks just like acting like they buy games or something.. why ? I'm sort of at a loss for that answer.

p.s 360 users do the same on hyping games, but the games sell.

Do you believe that Sony does not love your money.  Did you get your PS3 for free?  Of course not, you actually had to spend lots of money (hopefully they did not take you for the original $600) for a machine with no games (granted, you did have some movies to watch).   I love the Sony PR machine: "Give us $600 for our most incredible machine and we will release amazing games...eventually".

RROD?  I had to spend absolutely no money for the one RROD I experienced (not even for shipping).  I recently found out that Sony chardged $150 (almost the price of a 360 arcade this gen) to fix defective PS2s...until consumers united and filed a lawsuit.

Peripherals and accessories?   Didn't Sony make you pay for cables, another controller with rumble, and a headset?  And didn't they make you pay $200 more than Lemmings for a machine which basically just plays games ported from the 360?

Are you so sure you made a wise investment this gen?   Dude, you got taken to the cleaners by Sony.   But, hey...they love you, so all is well.

I already got LBP and pre ordered R2 in Europe.

Sony is actually advertising good in Belgium they got 2 tv spots for LBP 1 tv spot for Motorstorm and 1 for the features that are available on the PSP.

And i recently saw billboards that advertises bluray movies on the ps3.

The thing is, Sony would love you so much that even they would even put their financial stat at risk just so they could show how much they care for their customers. :)

And sorry to disappoint you lemmboy cuz I invest my money wisely on reliable and more valued items rather than spent them on ripoffs such as having to pay extra for unnecessary things that you'd find somewhere else for free.

I don't think Resistance 2 is even out in Europe. LBP will spread through word of mouth. But above all, do you really care about sales? I find it ridiculous how people here keep bringing that up. SolidGame_basic

Haven't lemms learned their lesson last year that software sales don't prove s*** for hardware sales? And I wouldn't even go as far as this "360 outselling the PS3 worldwide this year"... just yet. It's not January 09 yet and based on PS3 and 360's Q1 and Q2 sales alone, the PS3 is actually the one on top.

sony is just spending all its money on Blu-ray advertisement...i swear i see a blu-ray commercial every time i turn the tv on...i think they are hoping that it will turn into ps3 sales...

anywho i picked up LBP but no way i will be picking up R2 or any shooter on a consol for that matter. That is until i get keyboard and mouse availability. Shooters with a stupid controler are just infearier to computer shooters for me.

+ my main use for my ps3 is a blu-ray player :) i will only buy a couple blockbuster games a year...

i think it's quite obvious that more people buy the PS3 for just a bluray player than people think 

i personally know 2 people in my office that never play games on theres, just use it for media sharing, etc. in reality there are far fewer PS3 gamers out there than you think.
