Blows PS camera away. Things like read lips in the dark, recognise 2 voices at same time. 25 body parts on 6 people instead of 20 on 2 (Kinect 1).

Well if it wasn't totally clear before, now we can be sure that the PS Camera was intended to be bundled with every PS4 and Sony removed it at the 11th hour to undercut price. I wonder how the landscape would have changed it both systems included a camera peripheral and were selling for $500? The Kinect 2 is clearly a better piece of tech, so I'm curious whether that would have been an edge over the PS4 at the same price point.

I think its also obvious that Sony did a bit of copying here. They saw the potential in Kinect and tried to capture a bit of the magic. Odds are that removing the PS Camera was on the table as an option because the camera's functionality just wasn't that amazing or novel, so I would be highly skeptical that this thing is a worthwhile peripheral. The fact that Sony was okay with removing it and neutering the user base probably lends itself to that assumption.

Games make for it will use GPU and CPU,when the PS Eye is not there is not no resources been use,hell even if it is there i don't see resource been tied to it Sony build the system to have as low hit on performance as possible,which is why it has extra hardware,but is not only that is the fact that the PS is  not mandatory which basically confirm resources are not need it.

And in fact part of the stuff on the xbox one apu are for Kinect like the Audio block,and i am sure than of the 10% GPU reservation kinect also have to do with that.

Kinect has a chip for image processing the audio is done by the audio block,and any interface adition to the UI is done by GPU.

Lets see i assume it has no reservation because is not a build in product,much like the PS eye on PS3 did not had reservation,and much like the Eye Toy did not had reservation.

You assume it does based on the fact that Kinect has a chip to process images so that most be compesanted with something on PS4.

Difference is that Kinect is mandatory,it was build in into the System,the PS eye is not.

I laugh every time some one say that sony copy MS kinect it is a joke the Eye Toy was out on PS2 before the xbox 360 was even launch,a camera is a camera period,Kinect was more advanace an no one can argue that but the concept of using a camera for games didn't come from MS,hell even Nintendo had a gameboy camera sure it let you take a picture of your self and use it on a very simple game,but it was so did the dream cast.

I hponestly think this should have been in the box even if it would have raised the price. Its one thing to talk about how the voice and motion controls work overall for the sysytem, but when you watch it demonstrated live in front of you, you'd be suprised how peoples reactions, at lesst to me. It really just shows they have no personal opinion of their own but will agree with anything Sony tells them to think.The first thing it is clear this is something with Sony again trying to copy Microsoft but also clearly will not be as good. I was trying to be sarcastic actually. Controller sucks, is not made to navigate OSs. A console is not a PC where you use the mouse to move around or a phone where you use your finger. It is much worse, especially when you have to type some message. Having to scroll right right right in all kind of menus ad nauseam.

It didn't use to be a problem before when all you had was memory card, play disc but now, with user profiles, libraries, achivements, apps, friend lists. 

Yes, voice recognition can help navigating and actually make it much more comfortable than using a controller. Just saying "launch x game" is much faster and comfortable than going to the library scrolling through the games till you find it. 

And like most Microsoft inspired Sony features, it'll be vastly inferior :lol:
