Voice commands and rec were on socom 1 on PS2 before xbox live on the original xbox was even launch,you don't need a camera to to voice command,which is what maked Kinect game support on 360 a joke since core games just added voice command and for that all you need is a mic not a camera..

I honestly can not believe any of the Sony diehards are defending this or even worse bragging about this. It really just shows they have no personal opinion of their own but will agree with anything Sony tells them to think.The first thing it is clear this is something with Sony again trying to copy Microsoft but also clearly will not be as good. Second the only thing the Sony fanboys could agree to bash Xbox One on was to bash the Kinect but now Sony wants to have their own second rate Kinect, Third even though the PS4 is completely integrated with companies like Facebook who has be in the nsa clutches as deep as possible but the PS4 is literally just as bad of a risk with nsa and camera.

3rd MS was not the first to do voice command,or use a camera man you people really know nothing about gaming.

Kinect sucks,the eye toy sucks to,is an old and tire formula already that MS decided to fallow because they did not know what else to do,the Ps2,and PS3 both have a camera the PS3 one since launch,in fact the 360 had one and was replace latter by Kinect.

Cameras are gimmicks.

Actually yes, so forced that analysts predict PSN+ subs to increase 900% with the PS4. People will pay because Sony are locking the multiplayer.

Just another gimmick. Nothing of consequence or necessary. Camera crap & motion controls, yeah.

I certainly don't buy a console for the motion controls, camera, voice crap or any other kind of gimmicky crap. I wont be buying any camera. 

It's just posturing.......developers will not take advantage of it simply because the attach rate will be too low.
