[QUOTE="FlamesOfGrey"]Finally a release date. Later then I wanted but It'll be day 1. The launch line-up will at least be decent.charizard1605What is the launch lineup for the PS Vita? Confirmed N.A. line-up hasn't been revealed yet but I know the Uncharted prequel will be there which makes it worth it for me. I'm also expecting Little Deviants. Better then the 3DS line-up anyway which launch with SSF4. I'm also going to be importing some Japanese PS Vita games at that point.
Systems are never day 1 buys for me but it's good to know a date still :)
Unless I'm absolutely blown away by it I'll probably wait till next Christmas season to make the choice between 3DS or Vita.
Until then I'm perfectly content to play catch-up with DS backlog :P
Day one for me, 20-launch titles including Uncharted, Wipeout and LBP. Nice price, there's no reason why people should be waiting. Now the real question: how long before it's actually worth buying?
mmmwksil
The launch titles haven't been announced for us but here's the Japanese launch titles, there will probably some in there that will be the same for us.What is the launch lineup for it?

ugh. if sony were smart they would have released this BEFORE christmas.LP4EVA2005Don't you think they'd love nothing more? It's being released before Christmas in Japan but obviously things didn't go exactly to plan in the other regions.
must have ... noooooow, pre-ordered it as soon as possible, I hope they can deliver so I get it at least on my birthday feb 24 ^^

proabbaly better than 3DS in term of launch since
- price correctly
- Solid line range from Console game to Minigame hence cover all bases
- lack of comepetition like Ipad which 3DS have

It's the same price as the 3DS at launch, which didn't sell too well at $250. I don't think specs or value for money are that important to the end user, people expect a certain price range for handhelds, and like the PS3 which even at $599 Sony was losing money, people aren't willing to pay that price for a gaming device.
I think the PSVita launch will go more smoothly if they have uncharted and other decent games at launch, but at the $250 price tag, I'm not sure people will be flooding the stores to pick one up, regardless of it giving more value for money than the 3DS at it's original $250 price.

The difference is people hated the 3DS launch price, when Sony announced the Vitas price people were impressed. Also don't forget that pre-orders have sold out pretty much everywhere.[QUOTE="APiranhaAteMyVa"][QUOTE="r12qi"]

That was because of the original 3DS price, the PSVita matching the 3DS price looked impressive considering how much better tech wise it was, but with the $250 price tag for the 3DS failing, I'm not sure it will fly off shelves. Pre orders don't really count for much, the PS3 probably sold out of pre orders too.[QUOTE="r12qi"]

Really? Specs or VALUE arent important to the end user? Seriously? Couldnt be farther from the truth IMO. When people go shopping for anything, unless they are rich they are definitelylooking at value for what they are purchasing.
Bad move by Sony, bringing a console late to the table, where the iPhone 4s already has the lead with better games, better support, and more power. It also is better value, considering you get a movie industry grade came, a top of the line phone, and the great games like Infinity Blade 2....what has the PSV have? Nothing apart from Uncharted golden abyss, killzone and LBP, which the iPhone 4s easily has better AND CHEAPER games!Method214
Lol 1 is a phone, the other is a gaming handheld. I have an Iphone 4 and soon to have the 4S and I would never use that as a main gaming machine EVER. Zomg its so much fun playing Street fighter 4 when half of your fingers are covering the actual screen you're playing on lol, or how immersive games like the Akinator are, I mean just think of how much thought and development time was put into that. Also the Iphone4 is $200-300-400 with an UPGRADE plan, without it its $600-700-800. Dude you're making yourself look silly...
Haha iphone4....you almost had me man lol
Tell me you're joking? Nope. Sony is really cutting themselves short with the PSV. They should have put more time in developing their Xperia PLay line. Since sony is about to buy out ericsson, they wont be known as Sony Ericsson, but just Sony in the phone space now. So with that, they could easily re name their phones now, to the Sony Playstation Phone, and just work from there, since they could support it better, as one gaming machine and a phone. Now on the other hand, Apple has beaten them to it, apple has the better support, the better phone, and the better platform.[QUOTE="Method214"]better games, better support, and more power.MushroomWig
The exact same thing i said, when this popped up all over the internet, "Sony announces PS Vita battery pack" and "Battery life confirmed".Method214
Mobile phones have an even shorter battery life playing any kind of 3D game. Not to mention they produce a ton of heat while the game is running.
Also their games suck and are low-budget/indie trash.
