I don't know too much about conker (except n64 one), but Sonic is a fast paced game while conker is a platformer? Maybe i'm wrong, but speed would be an issue concerning graphics. Anyone remember when F-Zero had dumbed-down graphics to stabilise the framerate and to make it run fast?

You are very very correct with a faster moving game you need to display many more texture, polygons effects etc at one time.
I'm sure Wii will have better looking games than Conker. It just hasn't happened yet.nnavidson
I hear that. I seriously didn't think the Gamecube was capable of RE4 level graphics but I think it took us all by surprise. The Wii is an awesome system either way. I don't think I've ever spent hours doing the same thing (boxing on WiiSports) since Thrasher was released for PSOne.
Wii is more powerful but conker looks much better. Sorry but thats just the way it is. Take a look at far cry....pathetic on the Wii amazing on the Xbox. Were all just going to have to wait a little while to see what the wii can do graphically.

Once you play Sonic, I might believe you. Anyways, Sonic definitely has better lighting, and the character models are basically equal. As for environments, I think Sonic's look a bit better.
All games look better in motion. Conker looks better in motion than those screens, and Sonic looks better in mothing than those screens. They both have their pros and cons. Sonic is an early game for the Wii. Conker came three years after the console release.

Not that I expected to win this thing, cows and lemmings will keep saying that Conker looks far better no matter what, but at least I opened the discussion that a wii game might look better than last gen bests.

Its arguable that the Best GC games can look better then alot of Xbox games. I could argue right here right now that Conker for Xbox doesn't look a hole lot better then Star Fox Adventures for GC.
