Simply what im saying is having a controller and using 2 analogs makes it tougher to get head shots than using a mouse. The M&K simply make my fingers for the aswd keys hurt.

This is why i play my fps on consoles, that and it forces moreonline skill flucuation, basically seperates more noobs from decent-pro material players!

b/f you doubt it know it CAN be alot harder to be have more skill based consistancy aswell!

anyone else agree?

Console FPS games don't really take more skill. I'd say they take more effort and luck. I dominate keyboard and mouse games. They just aren't fun anymore because I'm too good. So I decided to get Call of Duty 4 for my 360 instead. And guess what : I still win every single game I play, and I don't even play console games. I've only played 8 player FFA and I seem to win more than 1/2 of them.

I played COD 2 both on PC and X360 and couldn't see any difference, besides the fact that playing on X360 with force feedback and triggers was much more enjoyable.

Difficulty was same (on veteran)

I control all my games with my teeth. Now that takes skill because it is hard. It'spretty unintuitive, though and looks stupid, but I don't worry about that. I'm hardcore 'cos I got skillz!

Man, there is no any auto aim in any console shooter except Halo. I just switched the option "turn off auto aim in shooters" and enjoying games.

Lolwut. There's autoaim. I own a 360 and I'm not going to deny it. You can't even turn auto-aim off in a lot of games.

You could also cut your legs off and run a race only on your bloody stumps.

But that dosn't make you a better racer...just an idiot.

So lets review: an inferior control method dosn't make you any more skilled. It's all about reaction time and fast twitch.

no, i don't agree actually, especially when considering halo 3, which has so much auto aim that you can pretty much just press the right trigger and watch your character slaughter billions of hapless passers by. However auto aim also makes games more accessible and fun and if console shooters didn't have it they'd be like CS, which is a long way from my idea of fun.

No. Only Halo has auto aim that you can't turn off. Funny thing is that Halo 2 is the most hardest shooter on X360. COD 2 is sufficiently easier, COD4 is just a piece of cake in comparison

I completely agree with you about old school xbox games halo1 was pretty dame hard to get 3 pistol hS than a snipers HS. Anyway there is some aim assist in halo 2 & 3 but its not as bad as it used to be when u ran past someone it litterally wouldpull your crosshairs. Aim assist does NOT make require less skill than a M&K! i mean, point and click yeah k!

Aw, are you mad that keyboard and mouse is way better than analog stick? Even the Wiimote is better than using an analog stick (Ex. MOH:H2).

Get real -- playing fps on PC makes it more accurate but it also makes players better than console players.

Not really, playng FPS with kb/mouse and controller is like playing Guitar hero with keybord and guitar. The first is easier, second is much more fun.

I never checked it in Halo 3, but I definetly mentioned in Halo 2 several times when you hit the monster and you are aiming at this time slightly off.

But shooting in Halo is very good anyway and it's much harder then say Black where there is no any auto aim.

Holding the trigger slaughtering everything is not the right way of saying it! There is alot of contorversy with halo fans about the lack of pure skill in halo3 thathalo1 had! Its easy to do what u say with the AR but this has to do with bad balance and catering to noobs and newcommers to the series alike! Witch is very sad!

Back to basics using a mouse is way to presice to not be conisdered less skilled!

Im sorry, but i dont like the waypc online fpsgames makes everyone better! Here is what it really does if u look at it! If your already a top player in COD4 for PC then your jsut that! so if u take someone who TRUELY is worse than you they might have a CHANCE of beating you!

IF u take cod4 for xbox360 and your a top player and you face someone who truely is WORSE than you, you will more than likely win!

can u kinda understand? they mouse make so much a diff! when it comes to accuaray! Do you really want to play and get beat by those who truely are not better but only by easialy pointing and clicking?

More skill? No. Different skill? Yes.

M&K players have far more precise aiming. Take that away, and now you're forced to survive not on the basis of who can aim faster, but who can take and hold the best positioning. Console FPS make aiming less important (but still necessary), and I prefer them because it means that you're no longer dominated by a single skill or outmatched by someone with a more precise mouse and higher resolution monitor.

I would have to say that the Wii would easily be the closer to shooting a real gun... but in the end.. None of them are.

I told you that I'm playing every shooter without auto aim and it doesn't make any difference compare to kb/m.I can shoot bad gays in COD with same speed and precision as on PC, without any auto aim. The only one difference - you can't turn say at 180 degrees with controler as fast as with kb/mouse, but in single all enemies behind you are dead anyway so you don't need to.

Get some training.

Thats impossible. Analog sticks are an inferior form of control compared to M/KB when it comes to FPS. They are slower, more clumsy, less accurate, and less precise. These are facts. If you're aiming on console = PC then yours skills at PC FPS are not good at all.

Aim Assist, Auto Aim, and Stickey Aim are implemented for the sole reason that Analogs do not have the pin-point accuracy that M/KB does.

The mouse is Faster, More Accurate, and More Precise. These are facts that you can't dispute.

What you're describing is a completely unwieldy control option. Dual Analog controls are nowhere near as terrible as something like that and are more than adequate for shooters.

LOL. Man, I played every PC shooter since Wolf 3D and at the end of 2005 switched to X360. I know what is possible and what is not. I've got at the begining of COD 4 achievement "5 headshots straight" and I even didn't know about it and didn't try to achieve anything like this, just playing.

But you are free to keep your own opinion.

[QUOTE="Blackbond"]Thats impossible. goddamn_

Oh wow and I have all the Halo 3 achievements and I'm a LvL 46 with a 1.23 K/D. Stats mean and skills mean nothing. Its factually impossible to move two analog sticks at the speed and precision of M/KB. You're full of crap. I don't care what PC FPS you have been playing. If you think that your toolset/abilities are the same with M/KB as Dual Analogs then that says more against your play ski11 then for it.

How about you try and reply to my whole post and not just the first couple words eh?
