I have a 360 and I disagree. Consoles are trash.Consoles aren't "trash."

If we could play trash like Killzone, Valkyria Chronicles, Team Ico games, MGS4, InFamous and Zelda with extremely high resolutions and a steady 60 fps then yeah, i guess consoles'd serve no purpose at all. Although, thats how the industry works, each one of the big three secures and/or develops exclusives for their systems so that people buy them and play within their walled gardens and make money off of them.AgentA-Mi6
I dont recall any other gen worrying with 60fps or really any fps? Is this really all some of you think of? I mean, ive been playing games since 1980 and Ive never cared about fps. Ive never played anything that hindered me in the least...

I never use to care either, until I actually got to play at higher FPS.Consoles aren't trash. They are a nice alternative for people who can't get into PC gaming (Too hard for them, too expensive). I personally hate gaming on them due to the constraints, limited options, blurry graphics, no games that interest me. ..etc.millerlight89

Relevance = 0%.
The very same people who swore not to buy it ended up buying it on release like the rest of the people who were excited for it. You used it as an example as a game considered crap by PC standards. I'd say it's highly relevant.Less people play Mw2 then CoD4: http://www.xfire.com/games/cod4/Call_of_Duty_4_Modern_Warfare/So? It's #2 on the list while MW2 is at #9. Even if it's lower, it's still among the most played games on Xfire.Jebus213

Call of Duty's past 4 are a fine example of this." If it was truly crap by PC standards, it wouldn't be among the most played games on the platform. This just shows that PC gamers are full of crap for the most part.drinkerofjuice
It's a open platform, did you expect all PC gamers to be united and have one universal thought pattern, or something? Don't put them together in the same box, it's like looking at a tight neibourhood and thinking the entire country acts that way.

No, it's totally clear. You said: ""Consolized trash" (not "consoles are trash") is a term usually referred to games that have success on consoles but are considered crap by PC standards. I think consoles are worse than PC because PC developers produce better games than the consoles get. It has nothing to do with console developers giving me a good console port, or not.

Utter nonsence.Utter nonsense....... Console graphics look blurry to me, fact. You telling me your experience is not going to change that. PC gaming spoiled me, consoles don't hold a candle to it for me.I've been playing PC games for 7 years and I adapted to the resolution of console games after about 5 minutes.
It was rather rather daunting at first I admit, but I got used to it eventually because I realised that it didn't affect the gameplay one bit. Which is, yer know, the most important aspect of a game.
PC gamers tend to forget that due to being spoiled.

Consoles aren't "trash", they serve their purpose and have many great exclusives available on them. However, the term "consolized" definitely DOES have merit. There are countless examples of game series (Crysis, FEAR, etc) in which the originals (PC exclusive) were amazing but the later sequels which were also on consoles were obviously and often brutally dumbed down, "streamlined", and so forth to deal with the less accurate controller, fewer buttons, inferior hardware, and generally younger, more casual player base. Fact is, there are absolutely no games on consoles which have player bases with as many amazingly talented players like Quake, CS, or StarCraft do on PC. Many developers have also literally stated that PC gamers have "higher standards and are more demanding" with their game purchases when compared to console game titles and are less likely to buy "cash in" sequels and the like.

MW2 is dead on PC and Black Ops struggles to get 20k players on average.... while CoD4, BC2, TF2, Cod2 and Counter Strike (both souce and cs 1.6) greatly outnumber them... CoD4 being the highest. Why? because MW2 and black ops went down a **** road and instead of following early releases as an indicaiton of quality (like the CoD console sheep do with pretty much any over popular title) they stick with CoD4.... because its a damn better game competitively/balance and well... setup.Oh boy, let me take on these 2 insults with one stone. I would in absolutely EVERY scenario choose a good game with good graphics over a good game with bad graphics. You could give me ten million games, and I would choose to play every single one of them with the best graphics options available.
The detail of a game goes a long way to improving your ability to be immersed in a game world. I will always want the best graphics I can achieve because of that.

I am very disappointed in you, young man.
Why should I care if someone I do not know is disappointed in me :?I play games on PC when I can. However I've come to accept that a lot of good games don't come to PC (and vice versa).. if a system has good games that I will enjoy and play, it can't be considered trash (imo), regardless of it's specifications. Anyone who misses out on good games over some 'loyalty' to there system of choice is doing it wrong (however I also accept that some people cannot afford all consoles, and don't intentionally miss out).

And indeed it does.
BUT if you aren't blind enough to realise a console's limitations, then you just may be able to enjoy the game regardless of its crappy resolution.
The fact that you are willing to disregard a game, based on it's graphical capabilities alone is just sad.
Depends what the game looks like to begin with.
Blurriness is a humungous problem with a lot of console games coming out (specifically the ones that go for realism). Games like CoD, or Battlefield, or Uncharted, or w/e. I absolutely hate that, and it makes me less likely to play the game.
A game can still look crisp without having the same graphics as a PC game. Look at a game like Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts on the 360, Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii, or Rayman 2 on the Dreamcast. It has a lot to do with the art style, sure, but they are not blurry messes.
That PC elitists for you. Everything on consoles are trash according to them because of the graphics.

Face it guys, The Big Blockbuster Hits will always be Magnified through Consoles and Never through a PC.
Final Fantasy 7, It's on PC, but no one ever associates to the PC when they think about it, only the PS1.
