It's funny how consolites try to trivialize the higher resolutions that PCs are capable of, yet they all get their panties in a wad over "HD", which simply signifies a 720p standard res that the PC has been doing for many years. Buncha hypocrites, I tell ya.

Well, that depends on what you're playing on. I've got a 17" monitor, so resolutions aren't incredibly different/important to me on it, but on my 42" plasma, the difference between 480i/p and 720p is pretty huge. Although I will agree that a lot of "consolites" need a refresher course on what's actually important, graphically.
well GT5 Prologue runs in native 1080p at 60 frames. but most console games are in 720p,cod4 and halo3 are the onlygames i know that arent true hdbazookajoe19Off the top of my head, PDZ, PGR3, and ive heard other PS3 games including Ninja Gaiden Sigma arent true HD....
Its a barstardisation of standards. I dont see why the primary companies dont force devs to comply with them...

Last I checked, when Sony lists a game as 1080p, it's 1080p native.[QUOTE="skrat_01"]Off the top of my head, PDZ, PGR3, and ive heard other PS3 games including Ninja Gaiden Sigma arent true HD....[QUOTE="bazookajoe19"]well GT5 Prologue runs in native 1080p at 60 frames. but most console games are in 720p,cod4 and halo3 are the onlygames i know that arent true hdHuusAsking

Last I checked, when Sony lists a game as 1080p, it's 1080p native. And Halo 3 was listed as 720p native, and so was COD4, PGR3, PDZ ect.Im not saying you are wrong, but I am saying that you could not be right. Sony just like the other devs / publishers dont exactly want to publicise their games not being lower than HD native.....
Just because the PC can support resolutions up to 2048x1536, or higher when video cards want to go higher, it does not mean that the game was made at that resolution. The graphics card can provide detailed screen of up to that number, but the game may look awful if it greatly exceeds the target resolution.

Uh, no. Games are rendered NATIVELY at whatever res you set.

No the leap in visuals from consoles to PC is now huge.Comming from someone who plays Xbox 360 games, like AC and GeOW on the same monitor he just played Crysis on very high.

I have to agree, PC graphics are way better, my console is hooked up to a 1080p HDTV and my PC is hooked up to a 20" monitor, and I have notices quite a few times that PC graphics, not only Crysis are better.[QUOTE="skrat_01"][QUOTE="FunkyHeadHunter"][QUOTE="UserFrenly_Noob"]how do you noobs live with thismuscleserge

Well a monitor does offer a much sharper image, and you do get much higher res than console games no doubt, not to mention AA and AF.... Still games like UT3, WiC, CoH, Sup Com: FA, and of course Crysis cement that. Please Log In to post.
