Consoles vs PC - Library

Ive been seeing a lot of PC gamers acting as if consoles have nothing to offer. To PC only gamers, do you guys really think the PC library stands a chance against these titles?

Metal Gear Solid 4, God of War 3, Halo 3 & Reach, Gears of War 2, GT5, Forza 3, PRG, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, Red Dead Redemption, Fight Night Round 4, NBA, FIFA, NHL, NFL, Skate, Final Fantasy, Demons Souls, a bunch of other JRPGs, Tekken, BlazBlue, UFC all the Wii games. I can go on naming random titles from different genres but you guys get the point.

All I can really think of for the PC are Crysis, ARMA, Starcraft 2, Diablo, Empires, Civilization, WoW, all Valve games and the multiplatform version of some FPS games. Its almost like the PC is predominantly RTS/RPG/MMO, but I always get flamed for saying that.

For the record Im a heavy PC gamer but I only use my PC to play the better version of a multiplatform game because there arent very many exclusive PC games that interest me.

Steam has entire libraries of games, let alone the platform. And why discount web browser games? I waste my time more on those than most retail releases....

Just to point out PC is getting some of the current NBA and FIFA games. Also Blazblue is on the PC.

And you must not do a lot of searching if you cannot find any other PC games.

I will name another great one that was newly released.

Does the PC library stand a chance against those titles? Of course. Whether you prefer them over those titles is an entirely different story.

There are many great PC exclusives, just like there are many great exclusives on consoles. In fact, PC has more exclusives than any one system, and more than all systems combined (not including console-only multiplats).

So we are back to comparing the Pc platform vs ALL consoles combined? Either the PC is that good that the TC felt obligated to go all vs 1 or he is really looking scraping the barrel for the argument.

Another 3 v 1 argument. What happens if a console gamer only owns a 360, why do they suddenly get to use PS3 games to back up an argument lol.

Anyway, i own all systems, i still think PC beats consoles. Its all down to taste. No console can offer me Sins of a Solar Empire (9GS), Company Of Heroes, Dawn of War 2, Civilization 5, Dawn of discovery, Starcraft 2, Total War series ( yes these are strategy games but why are the dismissed? it is my favourite genre and way better than FPS or Platformers imo). Then we have, Kings Bounty series, Amnesia, The Witcher, Stalker series, Cryostasis, Spore (best version) i could keep going on, these are just off the top of my head lol.

I avoid threads like these because I know I'm going to read an extremely ignorant comment and feel compelled to respond to it, eventually getting drawn into an argument with a fanboy which is similar to yelling at a wall. From my perspective:

DCS: Black Shark, X-Plane 9, Flight Simulator X, IL-2: 1946, Lock On, Modern Air Combat, Falcon 4: Allied Force, Sins of a Solar Empire, The Witcher, Crysis, ArmA 2, Starcraft 2, World in Conflict, Civ V, Amnesia, DOW2, Napoleon: TW, BF2, The Lucasarts Adventure game remakes, and the multiplatforms. These are the ones I have an interest in. Others I may take in interest in: The Stalker series, Metro 2033.

The Wii is the Wii. Its games are unique. That's why I have one. Sports games (especially EA Sports) are definitely the genre that's on a drought on the PC. That's also a genre I've played on consoles from the start. I have no interest in JRPG, fighting games, extreme sports....

If I were to modify your post to suit my tastes, this is what it would look like:

Metal Gear Solid 4, God of War 3, Halo 3 & Reach, Gears of War 2, GT5, Forza 3, PRG, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, Red Dead Redemption, NBA, FIFA, NHL, NFL, Demons Souls, all the Wii games.

You get pwned in almost every thread you bash PC in. Don't get me wrong, not everyone likes PC, that is fine but you, you take PC ignorance to a whole new level. It has actually become boring proving you wrong all the time, now we just laugh.

The PC, throughout its history, has had more, better games than every console combined. And the beauty thing about PC, is you can still play them all. If you can't find something you like on PC, you either have no taste in games, or aren't looking hard enough. Because almost everything on consoles has a counterpart on PC, from some time period.

consoles by far for me. their isnt an exclusive on the PC that i really wanna play. i do not care about MMO's or RTS games, i do not like using the keyboard and mouse, and consoles have the exclusives that i wanna play. and judging by sales and the fact that 9 out of 10 threads in forums are about consoles i am not the only one.

Although MMo's and RTS (albiet in many many sub-genres) are abundant on PC they are hardly the only genres avaliable.Also you can use a controller on most games these days, i have 2 wired 360 pads for windows.

I understand some people prefer palaying on consoles but altleast choose valid reasons.

PC probably edges out the console library..
