Consoles will always be superior to PC, this is why.

1. Lack of (Consoles Exclusive Games)

The PC might have it's fair share of exclusives but once you factor in all the games that are for Xbox 360 and Ps3 only the PC is like a Wii, but with good graphics. To me this is where the PC really falls short, there just isn't enough games on the PC that I want to play and the ones that are usually 99% of the time also on Xbox 360 or Ps3. Console exclusives>PC exclusives. Hermits can rant and rave on how they have the best graphics, but if you don't have the games I want I couldn't care less about all the hardware as long as it doesn't look bad on a HD-TV I couldn't care less.

2. Convenience

You can't play on your couch unless you want to drag it down and hook it up to your TV, It fits better in a home entertainment unit. With the PC you have crashes, your PC might start updating or virus checking at any moment, you have an unwanted virus you're unaware of. I know in 6 months I'm not going to have to take my 360 or Ps3 apart to up my ram or graphics card the list goes on.......

3. Compatibility

The only thing you have to check on a Ps3 or 360 game is that it's the title of the game you want Compatibility is not even an afterthought. PCs, you have to check all of your computer stats to make sure that you have enough RAM, have the right video card and other specifics, PC you have to tweak a bunch of settings for every single game to make sure its taking full advantage of my hardware which could also go with convince as well.

4. Console Games and versions get more attention.

And rightfully so; also with the exception of the Wii PC has a lot more shovel ware

I had a well thought out 5th (and a better 4th) but I forgot it sue me I'm tired.

These are some lame reasons. I don't think either is significantly better than the other, but I can immediately fire 5 reasons the PC is better right back at you:

1. Better graphics, physics, framerate... EVERYTHING technical is better

2. Mods

3. The most exclusives

4. Technology constantly updates so you don't have to wait 5 years to upgrade to the most recent technology, you can do it whenever

5. The PC is generationless so it has unlimited backwards compatibility, and thanks to mods many 7 year old games look as good or better than plenty of current console games.

Both sides have benefits, although there are much better benefits to console gaming than you listed, those are all pretty bad reasons.

The PC is where the hardware is pushed to the limits and programmers strive to constantly program better and better stuff. The PC is the platform where indie developers can take a game like Team Fortress, a mod for Quake, and turn it into what we know it as today. It's the place where a single map can turn into an entire game genre that even is making its way onto the consoles (DotA, tower defense maps). It's the platform where the small sub-genres can live and thrive.

Why would anybody hate on this platform? It's the reason we have Halo, Call of Duty (which started on the PC no doubt), Gran Truismo, GTA... everything. The PC is the last free place to make games. The console really don't support any sort of indie game development. Companies charge tons of money just to get the development kits and licence games onto their platforms. Without the little guy, how can new ideas be put into games that really change a genre for the best?

All we got from console gaming is matchmaking and regenerating health. What we got from PC gaming and what we continue to get from PC gaming is changing what we play. The hate for the center of innovation and revolutions in gaming is alarming. This hate of PC gaming is what is stagnating gaming and turning companies onto things like motion controls and social networking in video games."

1. PC has more higher rated exclusive if you want to go by that even though I don;t really care for ratings. I like PC games more and that is my opinion.

2. You can build a pc to be many different sizes. If you want it to be small and fit in your entertainment center in the living room while you sit on the couch you can.

3. I don't have to worry about knowing if my pc can run the game because I know it can and I don;t have to worry about adjusting things. Infact my PC can play games from 20 years ago just fine.

4. PC gets a lot more attention in places like Europe.

The best thing with the Pc is all you need is a good FPS (TF2), a good RTS (Starcraft II/COH) and you can game for basically ever, just picking up the ridiculous amount of WRPGs/ARPGS that are released.dkjestrup
