So you're saying that the TC doesn't know what he's talking about and he is just the 'minority'.
Why would they just randomly be paranoid of it happening? For all we know, it starts with Modern Warfare 2 and Rage, and continues to other games. Look at Crysis; one of the PCs highest scoring games. It's sequel is being put on consoles. Now why would Crytek do such a thing?

Are you saying every single person thinks exactly the same thing at the same time? If so, then yes, everybody must be terrified of the PC becoming consolized. However we don't, therefore just because some people are annoyed/scared of it happening, ahrdly means the majority are.
Multiplats are happening to all systems, from PS3 to 360 and vice versa, from PS3/360 to PC and some vice versa. It's money, it's business. As costs to develop increase, so must what the devs are earning from the game, a la multiplat is one way to solve this. Reaching a wider audience holds the possibility of increasing revenue.
What would the point of them going multiplat if the PC has a larger gaming install base than all 3 consoles combined? Sure, they get more money, but they must have seen another reason to suddenly make the jump to consoles. The only games that will probably stay on the PC are RTS's and MMO's, since they work better on there since there are more keys. The PC will probably just become a multiplat platform aside from those 2 genres
Like I said, it's still money. More money is better, it's pretty simple. Why did MS branch into making consoles when they make a KILLING on their OS software, plus office suites? Lucrative business.
It'll still have it's exclusives, no doubt, but not as many. The consoles have companies to try and force exclusives (hence 1st party development, a huge undertaking by Sony this gen). PC does not have this, and only has devs that stay there because they want to be there, they have choice.
A lot of smaller indie devs are also filling the cracks now that digital distribution is coming more into the mainstream. Many smaller devs did not have the means to release a game via disc, as it was harder for them to find a publisher to do so.
