About the score, I'm a bit surprised. Never thought it would be a good game but then again, IGN tends to overrate some of their games. Meh, who cares, lets just wait for Gamespot's review.

If anything, an 8.2 360 game SHOULD be considered garbage going by standard 360 score inflation. On what other system is an 8.0 game considered horrible? Going by this score, Folklore kicked LO's *ss on IGN, but no, GS scores are the only ones that count here.

We can't forget the ign in ignorant. C'mon, 8.2? It deserve a little lower than that for having a weak story.

I'm sorry, I played through the import copy with a buddy of mine of LO ( I live with some roomies) and I HATED LO. I'm sorry, to me RPG's are a great method of storytelling in videogames. That point is not arguable. However, the pacing of a story is completely disrupted for me when I keep getting pulled out of my experience due to awful technical game aspects (lagging, long loading, clipping, frame rate slow down to name a few).

To JRPG lovers who can endure the problems I have mentioned, as well as endure the immensely dull first disc of the game, then go ahead. The story does pick up, and it is a great premise. It does have the feeling though that this was a Final Fantasy game he wrote and never got approved for development.

360 games arent inflated, maybe ps3 games are underated here. If anything, pc games are overated here as they are rated higher than the average on this website. Lets face it, Gamespot is biased towards the pc.

The creator of FF made it. And its a JRPG on the 360. That is what is building up its hype

It's a JRPG that's exclusive to the 360. Not much else, really.

Its also the first JRPG this gen that doesnt seem like it was made for ten year olds, it has people that worked on Final Fantasy games and people who worked on Shadow Hearts games involved. Honestly, the game may as well be Shadow Hearts 4 from what Ive heard so far.

Honestly, if someone hasn't bought a 360 by now, a slightly above average rpg with a few techincal glitches isn't going to change their minds, Mass Effect excluded :P . Other than PS3 campers waiting for FFXIII, this whole gens been about pushing the shooters. Hopefully this year we finally start seeing the rpgs roll out, for BOTH systems.
