Some comparison shots of Crysis 1 on console (taken from our recent trailer) vs the PC version have been floating around.

The trailer was actually captured using an earlier version of the game, it has since been improved (before these comparisons even arose) and I feel like we ought to clear this up somewhat. Below i've attached some images of how these scenes actually look;"

Do you know what the download size will be? Crysis was what, 5 gigs?

Kinda looks like they dialed down the models for more foliage in the top pic.

this could dethrone crysis 2 on the 360 as the current graphics king. :shock:

The edges look bad enough that I won't touch it.

Personally I think farcry2 looks better on consoles.

The trailer was probably recorded from a PC using the build that will be on the Xbox. They most likely tweaked the visuals to get said build to look better. It's happened many times before with other games developed on the PC and released on consoles.

This will forever be the console graphics king. Look at those Textures :shock:

Lol, read my mind. I guess all we can do is wait for the game to come out, but the screens aren't looking too hot. Wonder how much the scale was downgraded as well.

, ALL the enemies are loaded into the lvl in pc version and perform their ai routines and such regardless of your proximity to them. eNT1TY

That settles it. Crysis is the technical graphics kind on consoles and PCs now. :P

They really tweaked the ToD lighting in the console version. That's a good thing. They really messed it up in the first one.

Just so you know it's not an arcade game. Just like you I was confused at first but it's actually going straight to the Games on Demand section of Xbox Live for digital distribution on the day of release.
