Crysis 2, Killzone 3 & Crysis 1 Showdown "Video"

I guess i'm not the only one that noticed the 360 fanboys & ps3 fanboys. However there is some "rebellion" on the pc fanboy side. We Pc elitist seem to have been devided into the standard fanboy and the crytek hater.

So here is some material for your war.

Oh yeah, Crysis 2 is 360, Ps3 is Killzone 2 and Crysis 1 is pc.

Crysis 1 wins the water battle. :P

Yeah, it's not pretty. Finally played the game at my buddy's house last Sunday, and while the game as a whole looks awesome, the water was kind of bad.

KZ3 shouldn't even be in the discussion if we're including the PC version of Crysis 2.

Edit: Just saw your post.. 360 version of C2 means C1 wins this easily.

Besides K3's poor water (compared to the other two) its really hard to say which has the edge, from still images atleast.

Putting crysis 1 in this is kind of unfair. But I prefer the whole crysis concept more than KZ. Its a better sci fi shooter. More unique. And has a better story arc

Crysis really does have overrated graphics. Crysis 2 looks much better, I though killzone 3 was also more impressive. Crysis looked slightly sharper (probably due to the resolution). But there is so much more detail and stuff going on in the environment in the other two.

Just going by the video I havn't played the game but nobody has really shown me any other gameplay videos to show otherwise.

They didn't pick the really detailed impressive parts of Crysis 2 or Killzone 3 in that comparison either.

Damn, I had actually thought Crysis 2 360 wouldn't have a chance against KZ3 until seeing that video. From what was shown I'd say it looks much better, though from what I've heard its far more inconsistent, and consistency is important as well. No denying that Crysis is still the king however, even if Crysis 2 may in some instances look aesthetically more pleasing (and don't deny it fanboys, it does in some areas), the amount going on in the original is unmatched.

The thing is though is that the x360 is maxxed out while C2/kz3 barely scratches teh cell :P

Crysis obviously beats both of those games. I still think KZ3 looks better than Crysis 2, all around.

I think the water in KZ3 looks really good, but it doesn't look good at all on still screens. It looks better in motion.

Crysis obviously beats both of those games. I still think KZ3 looks better than Crysis 2, all around.

Playing crysis 2 maxed out on the pc i can easily say its the graphics king. And even seeing the 360 vids of it i can also say its console graphics king.

Seriously? I find the the KZ3 face/C2 face on par in different ways, the C2 face looks like a higher rez texture there, but the KZ3 face looks more real in certain ways too. C1 faces rape the others face.

I dont know why everyone thinks KZ 3 water is bad ? IMO it looks as good as Crysis 1 & 2. It's not bad, just diferent art direction.

But the character models of KZ3 easily beats both Crysis games.

You think KZ3 looked best in the vehicle section? What do you mean by unfair? I think it is pretty close between C1 and C2 on that one, KZ3 looks weird in the mech.

Indeed, looks very dated comparing

It is even worst when you actually play it, everything breaks down close up, textures and shaders are from another old era

Not really that, it's unfair because they are using a straight up cutscene for the killzone section, and semi interactive in-game moments in the C1 C2 sections.

I liked Crysis 2 better than Killzone 3, never played the first Crysis though, but given that it's older wouldn't it be more fitting to compare Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 to Bulletstorm or something?lamprey263

The first Crysis is definitely the superior one. My second choice would be Crysis 2. It's nice but doesn't compare to the first. And then there's Killzone 3, well yeah...
