There are only three graphical options in the demo as well as the full retail game. If you go to Geforce.com and read the review, they benchmark the single player with a near-finish build of the game. Near-finish, which means, the graphical settings you get (Gamer, Advanced, Hardcore) are the only ones that will be there once the full game is out. Near-finish is only a few bug fixing from finished.
LAME!!!! I'm selling my key once I get it on March 22. I can't get a refund =(
mitu123
This has to be a joke. 3 graphics settings? What is this, the worst console port ever? Okay at least it runs great on my rig. But in most multiplats you can turn up the AA, AF, shadow res etc.
I seriously doubt that crytek messed up so badly with this one. I'll wait for the finished product and will test it out myself.

So? Then you'll be forced into DX11 and you're preformance will die. You won't beable to change it.
Also it's pretty much safe to say no modding tools are coming.

Also there is no DX11 support. If there was, they wouldn't be giving us those benchmarks. Hense... no DX11.
That's ****. Three predetermined graphical options? I expect this from a console port like Mass Effect 2, not Crysis 2, from developers that still claim that PC is their favorite platform.
Edit: Not to mention you're stuck with their **** AA solution AND the configs are supposedly encrypted.

You have to remember that the mp isn't made by Crytek Franfurt. SAGE_OF_FIREthats true, free radical hasnt even developed anything for pc to my knowledge. I think they tried, but honestly they probably have no clue about pc gaming. Demo is actually fun by the way just wont please the uber nerds who stare at fraps counters all day.

I would also assume, in a positive note, that if they add Directx 11 or even 10 >.>, that it would be for Nvidia Cards only. Seeing as Nvidia promotes a lot of the game on PC.
Very lame IMO...(This is what you get when, a game is being developed for three different platforms. More time spent on trying to find a universal point, then polishing the game to be what it can be.)
Honestly... Did they have to take a all or nothing approach? Before you could mix and match settings to better suit your hardware, now you either have the specs for something in its entirety; or you cannot run it.
All these people upset and causing a storm.... this is the onlien demo people... Crysis has never been about online.
Not to mention the campaign always has looekd way better then the online.
I say wait until the game comes out to toss it under the bus.
A MP demo will not make me cancer my preorder for a game I dont plan on playing onlien at all.
Getting Crysis for its online is like getting a Stalker game for the online... its just not right.
Crysis was a masterpeice because of its campaign not its online people.
I know its a demo yadada, but lets all try the campaign a few times over and then come to conclusions as to how it looks,plays,etc..

This is exactly why I said LETS WAIT TILL THE GAME COMES OUT... RUMOURS.
I saw a friends brother play the beta for Crysis2 on PC and the 20mins I saw looked amazing, even with crap sounds and some bugs.
Online demo sucked, what ive seen of campaign looked amazing... all that tells me is to wait for the game to come out and try the full thing myself.
There are some things im worried about and somethings I am not worried about, lets just wait and see how this turns out when its installed and we are playing it. Tons of times a demo does not let you have access to all the settings or are limited to certain settings,etc...
Many times system wars has been up in arms over aspects in games, only to be wrong or to judgemental.
I guess time will tell to see how this game shapes up.

I doubt this will be like the first one. Crytek released a mp demo, twice in 360. We all know that they are targetting the cod players.

Pre-order cancelled, thanks for the demo lol

The exact opposite imo. I know people who were not gonna get the game but after playing 3-4 levels of the leaked beta they preordered the game right away because of the campaign.

Yes to get the 360 owners they wanted to show off an online that might get the COD onlien players. But for Crysis its always been about Campaign, and judging from the 20-30 mins ive seen of the beta, the campaign for Crysis2 destroys the multiplayer once again.
Sorry but to me Stalker, Crysis,etc.. are all about campaign, online is just a bonus for those who like online. now with Crysis coming to consoles of course they want to get a peice of the ONLINE FPS love that people on xboxlive have.
We live in a ONLINE ONLINE SHOOT SHOOT world for videogames now, if you want to do really well on consoles for a FPS, most the time you gotta put in a multiplayer part.
Hey, I miss the jungle already and I have not played Crysis2 yet. I have faith though that Crytek will deliver an amazing campaign like the first two. Probably wont be as good as the first Crysis campaign, but could still be very enjoyable, sure looks like it from what ive seen.
As for the graphics complaints people have.... well i hope its not true. but if it is.... that sucks but in all honesty graphics are the least of my worries in videogames. Even a game like Crysis1... graphics were only my 3rd fav thing about it (Loved the graphics, gameplay and atmosphere). Sucks if we dont have alot of settings to mess around with and if its worse graphics because of hte consoles, but lets wait and see how this all turns out.
level design kinda sucks actually u cant swim undernear the pier17 because of stupid ass invisible barriers. The map design looks really good though.

What would be the point of being able to swim? That just nit picking.
Well in Crysis you could do it. Everything besides solid walls was destructible and there were no barriers in the game (except unclimbable mountains)[QUOTE="edidili"]

We'll see about that.
What was the best part about Crysis 1 single player? It's open areas and sandbox feel. Say goodbye to that in Crysis 2. In the first one, the single player was the main focus while the mp was an afterthought. That's why the demo had the sp part of the game.
Crysis 2 is the other way around. They released a mp demo only in 360 ignoring the pc, in a console that is all about mp fps games. Now they released the pc demo and is still mp, press start (?) to continue with limited graphical options.

You bring up a great point. Seems they simplified graphics settings way too much. Now, you're either in low-spec or high-spec PC and everyone gets tossed in the gray area. Well, you won't get the full experience even if you play it with a low-spec PC. Interesting. So much for Crytek saying this game will be built for the PC with the PC hardware in mind.
Honestly... Did they have to take a all or nothing approach? Before you could mix and match settings to better suit your hardware, now you either have the specs for something in its entirety; or you cannot run it.

Yeah. i don't see a point of putting DX11 now if they're not even going to let you tweak with the graphics settings. Seems like you just push a blue button and your ride will start kinda approach. What I liked about the original Crysis was, you can mess with the settings and fine tune it so it runs to what your PC can handle. And I'm also disappointed that a developer who took graphics to a new level aren't going to be following suit with its sequel.remember black ops on pc when it came out?
