[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]Just a guess but, you must not be a very competitive person. haberman13
If by competitive, you mean point counting and taking part in repetitive game play day after day, then no.
BC2 is a great example of ported development. PC gamers get an awesome tactical shooter, consolers get what they want: CoD run-n-gun strafe killing with no thought.
Crysis 2 on the other hand is a terrible example of ported development: the same trash gameplay was retained from console to PC.
Crysis 2 is actually a great example of why console games are terrible. Overbloom, no skill, run-n-gun, small levels, repetitive and easy gameplay, tons of UI "go here" trash etc. etc.
Consoles ruin games, gaming and gamers.
I had actually forgotten about BF2, damn modern comabt sucked.
I guess you're completely right about everything!!!
It reminds me of a debate I had with someone about halo 3 multiplayer. I tought it always was fun, but random, and my friend kept saying it required skill. After watching some of his replayss, skill meant, knowing where everything on the map was, how to randomly shoot a grenade across the map to make it bounce on 2 walls and get a bunch of easy spawn kills, or if you encounter someone face to face, how to start bunnyhoping and ending up shooting the dude in the back. No wonder I eventually stopped playing.
I felt the exact same way with crysis 2, there were no strategy whatsoever. Only people jumping everywhere and shooting people in the face as they randomly passe by!!!
