Crysis 2 will OWN Halo Reach

I doubt it. Crysis 2 will have the graphical edge, but other than that, I'm thinking Reach will win it.

Talking about the gameplay of both games.

Original Crysis had lean, pron, sprint, suit powers that you could change on the fly, destructible environments, AI that had to adapt to an open world+destructibility, and just all around better gameplay.

If Crysis 2 has good multiplayer, you can call Halo owned, simply because Halo Reach is pretty much more of the same as before.

I liked Crysis way more than I liked Halo 3 or ODST, but nothing I've seen of Crysis 2 has really impressed me so far.

I'll have to wait and see, but I don't think either game being better than the other is set in stone yet.

Just to seem relevant to the conversation, Reach is the first game on the 360 I really wish I could have on the PC. I could really live without Crysis and especially Crysis 2.

Crysis 2's gameplay looks fun but mindless. I dobt its MP will be as good (or even in the same ball park) as Halo Reach. I think Halo Reach will be better, even with Reach's core gameplay being a little archaic.

I enjoyed Halo 3 a lot more than Crysis. While the graphics of Crysis were (are) unmatched, I didn't find the gameplay to be all that fun.

That being said, I think I will enjoy Halo: Reach a lot more than I do Crysis 2.

Online is a good function to have, but I generally don't buy games that have a tacked on single player. I think that single player should be focused on as much, if not more than the multiplayer, which is why I generally enjoy older games more. I just think that's where a developer's true skill shines.

That being said, I hope Crysis 2 and Halo Reach provide thrilling and compelling single player experiences, but have good multiplayer experiences, too.

Alright so basically Reach wins because you've played it in the beta, that doesn't really work just wait til both are out to say which "wins".

Also I have heard people who have played the beta and said it feels like the same old Halo also.

Halo 3 is not being talked about nearly as often as Crysis, it doesn't have multiple huge threads created for it (Halo 3 specifically) every week. of course we know the reason for that is Crysis remained Graphics king for the past 3 years, so naturally challenges come and go.

Perhaps Crysis' graphics stand out too much for anything else to be discussed, but people do bring up Crysis for other topics such as customization, (mods and stuff), the same reason the Witcher is always brought up for its story, does that mean the witcher has awful graphics ? of course not!

And if a game has nothing to stand out from the crowd, not even graphics, then it will not be discussed as often in system wars. One game that's supposed to be "huge", but ended up often ignored in discussion is Gears of War 2.

Wrong.

Crysis didn't just get 9.5 for graphics alone. I think that you have either not played the game properly, or have heard from people on forums.

It got 9.5, because it has awesome sandbox gameplay, that manages to pace the story extremely well, despite the actual story being a total POS.
