hmmmhmmhmmm, killzone 2 looks amazing. I can't afford a pc to upgrade crysis all the way, so it doesn't look better thank KZ2 for me.
But, I've seen it on full settings and it does blow u away

This Crysis 2 writer is kind of starting to irritate me......JMR09irritate is the wrong word, i'm just hoping he gets his lesson taught when Crysis 2 releases with the generic sci-fi story that it will undoubtedly portray.

I guess we won't know for sure until Crysis 2 actually comes out. So far though it looks like every other generic sci-fi shooter. But like I said, I'll hold judegement until I actually play the game. There's a difference though between being proud of your product and just simple bashing every other game like yours that is already out now...
*shrugs*
well... yeah?
i mean compare the graphical life of Crysis to anything else that came out in 2007? nobody's still talking about Forza 2, or Halo 3, or Uncharted 1, or Ratchet, or UT3, or etc. as graphics kings
yet here we are in 2010, still talking about Crysis 1 (not even Warhead)
if Crysis 2 has those legs, it should be pretty amazing
also the article is full of it since this guy didn't even write for Crysis or Crysis Warhead
What the hell is up with this Crysis 2 writer guy? So far he has talked smack about Modern Warfare 2, Halo 3, and now Killzone 2. I think he needs to shut his mouth before he destroys Cryteks reputation.
I've seen pics of this alpha build (can't be bothered to find the thread). Looks like ass.tomarlynI agree lol.

I know right? What's going on? Crytek used to be so modest way back when. It's like the writer is their new spokesperson or something :PThe Crysis team sure has been quick to brag and bash others lately....

No hard to believe considering Crytek tech is bastly superior and they are multiplatform devs.TessellationYou do realize that making Crysis look that great on PC is a lot easier than making it look that great on consoles, right? I mean look at Crysis, it isn't exactly the most optimized game out there. I celebrate if I can get above 20FPS during a shoot out. Now to bring that experience to consoles? KZ2 itself is a technical feat considering the limited hardware of the PS3. Now Crytek, a company well known for creating a game, that was released not running perfect on any available hardware, needs to work under the strict limitations of console gaming. They can't just make a game and say "Yeah, well....just wait 2 years and upgrade your PC, and you'll be able to run it perfectly smooth on all high with AA!!!" They actually have to make the game run great out of the box....
now i could see why the guy got arrested. he's a total douche-bag. he's been ragging on games left and right and we still know nothing of crysis 2's story (what he wrote).

Wasn't this the same writer that was arrested not too long ago? Maybe he is just a little ticked off and wants to blow some steam? These are both bold and possibly obnoxious claims he is making, but I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up true. I guess we'll see in a matter of time.
Has he worked with any other game devs in the past? Did he even know what the hell video games were before Crysis 2? I'm guessing no.

I can understand expecting it look great, but people here are acting like it's gonna be equal to the PC version.

Its their first console developement so as of yet they are still pretty unproven imo.On the PC front they are amongst the best, but i dont find them to be superior to any other developer thats just smack talk theres a lot of devs who are just as good like R* North,Valve,Bizzard to give a few examples.
Not that I know of. All I know he wrote a few books (personally can't say if they are good are not).Has he worked with any other game devs in the past? Did he even know what the hell video games were before Crysis 2? I'm guessing no.

Okay. Wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up. :D

given that video games generally don't have good stories (especially war fps)... fresh talent is always welcome :D
PS3 fanboys don't want a multiplatform to look better than their marginal better looking exclusive's.Why would it be a "slam" to say that? Maybe it does look better.

yet hermits in the past have cried foul of Crysis 2 not being as good and possibly being dumbed down.I mean who cares if a multiplat looks better.I really wanna see some actual final build footageon the consoles before i can really say.Till then its hype/smack talk to me.
Why do you keep mixing this guy up with the other dude? Richard Morgan wasn't the one who was arrested.now i could see why the guy got arrested. he's a total douche-bag. he's been ragging on games left and right and we still know nothing of crysis 2's story (what he wrote).

Assuming those arn't bullshots, yeah, I would say the guy is out of his mind. Crytek needs to shut him up NEOW.
I have no doubt crytek is able to outcompete anyone in the industry in terms of technology. But at the same time I also know they're not able to compete with anyone in the 'making actual games' area.
Yeh, one of the few FPS's that actually evolves the shooter formula, giving the player an extremely high level of interactivity and choice in how they play can't compete with generic corridor shooter #58684 in the game department.I have no doubt crytek is able to outcompete anyone in the industry in terms of technology. But at the same time I also know they're not able to compete with anyone in the 'making actual games' area.

Praise UC2's story? Oh wait, he already did that.wow before halo's story now killzone graphics. i wonder what's next?

proof you haven't touch the game in your life. Crysis : 9.5 * Dynamic, emergent shooter gameplay * Unparalleled visuals with destructible environments * High level of replayability * Power struggle makes for huge multiplayer battles * An amazing accomplishment overall. Crysis Warhead : 9.0 * The action is focused and intense * Amazing visuals that look--and run--better than before * Improved AI makes fighting aliens more fun * Team Deathmatch has been added, along with a number of great multiplayer maps.I have no doubt crytek is able to outcompete anyone in the industry in terms of technology. But at the same time I also know they're not able to compete with anyone in the 'making actual games' area.
