Crysis 2 writer: Our Alpha build looks better than Killzone 2

Well im not takin offense,i also think that Halo and MW story is really shallow,never got interested in neither,but you know some people find it a bit irritating when he says these kind of stuff on daily basis :)

hmmmhmmhmmm, killzone 2 looks amazing. I can't afford a pc to upgrade crysis all the way, so it doesn't look better thank KZ2 for me.

But, I've seen it on full settings and it does blow u away

These Crysis developers and their bold claims are getting somewhat annoying now.

Nope, it's pretty irritating when he hasn't even done much, in fact, done nothing in video games. I've read his novel Black Man, and while it did win the Arthur C Clarke award, I'm wondering whether the competition that year was anything to scoff at. Not that the novel was bad, but it wasn't really memorable.

Not only that, if that novel is anything to go by, he's going to have to prove himself worthy to actually write an action novel. Black Man relished in its literal nature, many of its events being at home in words, but would need a lot of treatment to get it on film/tv. Forget about putting it in video game form, unless you want some sort of adventure game again.

Last I checked, no one but me played point-and-click adventures.

And it irks me that he didn't realize the world of Halo is pretty much homage central.

That's only on paper though.

I'm not discrediting it but until we can actually see the game running Crytek can throw around as many facts on paper they want but it won't prove anything.

I don't care how many numbers a game is crunshing, I only care about what I can actually see.

It's potentially bad PR for Crytek.

Yes, when you are a face-figure of a huge company you will have to learn to shut your mouth at the right times otherwise people will react the way they do now. Look at how people are treating Peter Molyneux's words when he speak. Nobody trusts him anymore.

Make up your minds. This guy might of seen some uber secret stuff from Crytek.

At this rate I hope they release the game at the same time as modern warfare 3 or gears of war 3 and they get put in their place very quickly. I mean saying stuff like this is really shooting yourself in the ass if the game flops on any part. Specially when it comes to graphics I mean if anything it should look atleast AS good as the first crysis did on PC for the consoles and the PC version to look INSAINE and be an awesome game.

lol what? Killzone 2 looks amazing, even a year later, hell even Gears of war 1 still looks great, and thats from 2006.

I expected Crysis 2 to look amazing on my PC but to be frank I don't expect miracles on the consoles like many here seem to.

If what we saw was alpha, I'd have to disagree.

Gaming needs someone like this. Otherwise we'll keep seeing the drab **** we've been witnessing for the last 4 years. Developers, generic stories ain't going to cut it anymore. I just think it's funny that he's comparing the game to a PS3 exclusive rather than a 360 game for graphics. Obviously, they wanted to actually raise the bar.

Black Man wasn't one of his best - try Altered Carbon, it's probably the best SF novel I've read in the last ten years.

And LOL! Wasn't Morgan the Cow Hero just the other day when he was bashing Halo?

He's still a Cow hero.. He chose a PS3 game to compare graphics too, which obviously shows the mark of quality.

He bashes Killzone 2's graphics and praises Uncharted 2's story...

He doesn't exactly hate the PS3, neither love it, sounds likes me.:P

he's just getting people excited about his game. I wouldn't look into any of it too far lol.

Crytek is FAIL if they can't make a better looking game than a 2009 ps3 fps exclusive. :P

Have you played Crysis? I beat both games on high and i doubt Crysis 2 will look much better than U2 on the ps3.

So what are you trying to infer when comparing Crysis / Crysis Warhead to Uncharted 2?

First bashing Halo storyline and now saying this; I don't deny that Crytek can make beautiful games (but with an uninteresting story) but they shouldn't go to the same ways as Sony, starting bashing other developers. Miroku32
