Seems about right. Being an avid PC gamer myself, it really seems to be more aesthetically pleasing than anything really groundbreaking. Sure you can cut down a swath of trees or mods your gun or change suit powers on the fly, but at the end of the day, those feel like novelties that wear off.

Good to see some more people who weren;t bought it out by the hype.

Crysis is an amazing game and everyone who plays it has their own opinions, and I personally think this is one of the greatest games of all time.

I understood a while ago the gametrailers has no understanding of PC games at all...much less the fact that they are running crysis on medium here, it apparently takes them 3 weeks to review it....

but even bigger...they actually reviewed the 360 version of the orange box and not the PC version...thats when I understood right away.

I highly doubt Crysis was bought here considering Jason was drooling over the game far before it was in it's final production phases.

Edit: Unless of course you were being sarcastic, it's hard to tell over the internet.

I watched the review earlier. The comment about needing a $3000 or something rig to get the most out of it a bit seemed like a bit of an exaggeration though.crazyjames1080

Crysis was an average shooter with below averade AI and super man like graphics= Almost as bad as Halo

Lol, wow. I love that site for gametrailers, hence the name. But the PC reviewers sound just terrible, they should hire one of us for pete's sake, we could do a much better job.

Hehe, thats true. It seems to run on machines very well a lot lower than $3000 or so in cost. I just didn't want to sound angsty.:P

well... it was hyped to be the greatest FPS of all time. In some ways it is, in some ways it isn't. The ending was average but the beginning was definitely the greatest ever. I'd put it as the THIRD best FPS of all time behind Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

I understand why the lowered it though... The ending does leave a bad taste in your mouth and you may beprone to take off more than you should because of it. Also, the requirements ARE high. I can see how it got the 8.8 but that doesn't stop it from beingone of the best games of all time.

I was looking through the user reviews on gamespot(god knows why, I guess I'm bored), and I'm looking at the lower reviews, and lo-and-behold, almost all of the lower reviews said they were running at medium or low graphics settings and this was basically why they rated it low... Some of them tried to play it off by saying that it's just like Far Cry, but their barriers are devastated by their sheer attitude towards graphical capabilities on their PC.DragonfireXZ95

bioshock was marked down because of framerate issues that only jeffs 360 seemed to have.but he was the one reviewing it, so i dont see how thats an excuse really.

Well if it's the 360, than it's different seeing as how it can't be upgraded. I haven't played Bioshock on the 360, I have it for PC and it ran as smooth as silk, so I can't really judge what Jeff did.

Have you read ANY of the reviews and seen the reasons for them scoringthe game low?

ALL of them mention in the review that it is quite honestly one of the best games ever created but the ending(which is maybe 2 hours of the 14 hour game....)was worse than the beginning and leaves a bad taste in your mouth and the requirements were high. ALL of them mentioned that. They just decided to take off points because Crytek decided to make a technologically demanding game and try to center in on the story at the end of the game... Also, take into account that PC Zone, GFW Magazine (1UP's PC reviewers), and a couple of the other reviewers give an average score of 5 rather than 7.5 and getting a 9.0 is basically impossible. GFW Magazine in particular.

I never had that problem either. Maybe he didn't clear his cache or something. I didn't either but I hear people say sometimes that helps with problems like that.

I am a hermit and I CAN see where it is coming from. The ending was EXTREMELY frustrating... Specifically with the stupid Rocket bug that made the rockets not explode but rather go right through the enemy... Trying to kill a Hunter when the rocket flies through it 9/10 times can be a pain.... Thing is, after I finally did it I was crying with joy.... Specifically on Delta.... Jeez.... Core was also quite frustrating... Still my favorite game in a LONG time. I also love the MP. And the mods.... The best thing about Crysis is the mods and even you can't deny that Wok....

That was the dumbest review I ever heard for three reasons.

1.Very strong single player shooters are rare nowadays. And you knock off the game for not being as good as Battle field? A game with a main focus on multiplayer?

2.The A.I. comment was worst then I thought. The great A.I. is horrible... because you have to get closer? They do too, so what's the problem? (Still think it's a stupid ideal. It defeats the purpose of a 'range' weapon.)

3."We played it on a typical PC and had to tune the graphics down!" Ummm... duh?

The best thing about Crysis is the mods and even you can't deny that Wok....
