Im with you, for such powerful system as you guys have, maxing a game and getting below 30 fps seems very very dissapointing, the graphics however, unmatched.

the fire effects are truly insane. this one part I drove the jeep off a cliff into some barrels that exploded and I jumped out in midair, the bad guys didn't see a thing coming then they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off.robokill

The fire effects are amazing, especially the depth of field blurring effects that go along with them. It's so damn realistic. Another really awesome thing is explosions. To clarify: being NEAR an explosion when it happens (but not too near, of course :P). The disorienting effect that results from that is unbelievably well-done. It feels like, well, you were actually near an explosion. With a nanosuit on, of course.

A fun thing to try next time you play is to grab a Korean that's near a tin-can house, go into max strength, launch him high up and try to aim it so that he falls down directly through the roof. God I love this game.Zeliard9

Haha, I tried that. Just grabs him by the neck as usual. It's cool though if you sneak up on them, and you land a well-placed hit on their head, they'll slowly slump to the ground like someone who was knocked unconscious out of nowhere. The animation looks really awesome. That's one thing nobody ever talks about in this game, the animation is amazing. Killzone what?

If i was running crysis on max with my 2.4 ghz athlon 64 with a 8800 gtx at 1600x1200 my fps would be roughly the same as quadcore, only the fps would drop less during heavy physics parts, but my a64 handles the physics fine, my outdated gpu holding me back.

Well then, that was the most ridiculously awesome demo I have ever played.

Ran real nice on the default settings, but it got all glitched up when I tried to change them. Not that I really cared, because god damn Crysis looks incredible.

It's easily the best demo I've ever played. I can't think of anything that even comes close. The replayability is off the charts. Demos aren't supposed to be continuously replayable like this, but you can keep going in and finding different things to do everytime, and different situations to get yourself in, and different ways to dispatch enemies. It's just amazing. I seriously can't get enough of the environmental destruction in Crysis. I've probably said the words "environmental destruction" at least 500 times today.

duke nukem's more fun though lol.

honestly this game does not look that good at all....maybe coz the quality of screenshot is highly reduced when you take the shot by urself....atleast thats what i knowmingo123

the physics/picking objects up feel ripped off half life 2, added to far cry with better graphics, shooting down trees is alright, but doesnt really do much for gameplay,the destroyable houses etc, all predetermined stuff, half life 2 could do same physics/shooting down trees what crysis is doing now, the games alright but it feels like ive done it all before, to me it's even less fun than unreal tournament 3.

Link? dude I meant the people from the topic... if you readed the first page of the thread you could've seen what I meant, below 30 fps with those systems is underwelming at least for me, so I'm just gonna wait for more powerful hardware.

Oh yes it does. While I haven't had the chance int he demo but in retail, I can imagine setting up some sick ambushes with trees. Btw, physics in Crysis is far better than Half life's imo.

the houses break apart in predetermined pieces etc, the only fun part about game i could see if you are in a house during multiplayer and someones blowing it up around you lol.
