Its definitely not saying it to UC2 or GOW3.

Are you seriously going to try to make the comparison, Crysis renders vast streaks of land that stretch upward to a mile away.. Where things like the tank battle during the middle of the game is on a huge scale.. Or the mountain when its frozen over.. GoW3 and UC2 certainly look good, but they no where come close to the environment (where UC2 is quite static where the only way you interact with them is climb) when it comes to the scope of the thing..
These were just screenshots taken years back when the guy had a weak 8800 GTX video card compared to today.. Where the game has been modded to look better, run better, and there are far more powerful (and cheaper) hardware out there.. Both GoW3 and UC2 look amazing, but there hasn't been a game yet that can match the Crytek engines veratility, in being able to render ultra sharp textures while being able to do draw distances ofa mile or more.. Its pretty disengenious to make the comparison.. UC2 and GOW3 you deal with very narrow strips of land with some poorly rendered off distance stuff that you can not itneracte with.. Crysis in many areas is a vast park.. And to be perfectly honest I thought the indoor areas were some of the best ever, such as inside the mountain, or right after the mountain where everything has frozen over.. Its wierd that people never seem to show those ones..
This isn't about scale, this is about what looks more impressive in front of me on the screen. It that regard UC2 and GOW3 wins, the pics and vids tell the tale.
that's not totally subjective...
look dude, i couldn't even play Crysis until a couple months ago, i had only ever played a demo of it back when the demo came out on a friend's PC which could only run it on medium so i thought nothing of the game
when GT5p came out, i thought it looked amazing, when Killzone 2 came out, i said the same things you're trying to say "it's not about scale it's about what's in front of you" and when Uncharted 2 came out i said "Uncharted 2 is crafted better than Crysis"
so when i finally build an $800 gaming PC from scratch and play Crysis for the first time almost 2 months ago on 50/50 high/very high settings (not even max mind you) what was my reaction? WTF was i thinking was my reaction, yeah i'm humble enough to say "maybe i was wrong all this time"
sorry but it's true, Crysis is still better looking than any console game, Heavy Rain has come the closest on consoles but it's still not there, get over it
