I played it with 2 gigs of ram and a Quadcore processor and it did not run it well on very high. Is it a memory problem? I dont know but it wasnt running well . Maybe its I havent played it in awhile and they have come out with new drivers? But it did not run well on the system I played it on and I here many other hermits complain about the 8800gtx performance on Crysis as well. Also its hard to get everbodys comments straight as there is like 4 people in our quote chain.

The only thing I've heard hermits complaining about when running the game has to do with resolution and AA. Most want to run it at 1600x1200 or higher with at least 2aa. And, I don't mean to pick on Meuk or anything but he wont upgrade his graphics card until one comes out that will run it with a similar resolution 2aa and at 60FPS. Nothing against him or anything but that seems to be what most hermits or at least, a lot of hermits believe. Nothing wrong with that however.

Also its hard to get everbodys comments straight as there is like 4 people in our quote chain.

Im glad you know what im talking about. The way it will blend seemlesly sometimes to realtime to ingame and some of the scenes even in gameplay look photo realalstic. Like in the SouthAmerica level when the Sun is blazing over your shoulder. It pisses me off you have kids zooming in on a crate to spot a flat texture. In all honesty the textures look pretty outstanding not to mention every texture in the game gets duplicated on the Octocam suite when you lean against it. There are so many things that make it look visually stunning.

If people want to call me a cow then thats fine I own all the platforms excet the Wii. But even comparing games on the same system( uncharted for an example) MGS4 blows it out of the water.

I agree. The statement in the review is just a flat out lie. I really think IGN and Gamespot were paid off. If you look at MGS4 on Gamerankings, the average score is 92%. Thats the lowest for a game that got a 10 from Gamespot.

I own a PS3 and a 360 and if you think Gears of War or Mass Effect is even in the same league as MGS4 you are either blind are just a complete fanboy. And id hate to tell you but the 360 cant even run NG2 at a smooth framrate good chance of it ever coming close to running MGS4 .

I couldnt agree more. i never played Crysis and thats the only reason why i will not say it looks better. But i will say when i tarted act 2 i thought i was playing a level of Crysis.. that level was beautiful to look at. Its funny i said MGS4 would be console graphics king last week and i had picthforks pinted at me lol.

All this because they cannot accept the fact that a PS3 exclusive recieved a perfect score here. I guarantee, on medium settings, the textures will be a higher resolution, there will be better depth of field effects, still some of the most complex dynamic lighting and lets not forget the sheer scale of the environments. From a "technical@ standpoint, crysis>MGS4. Lets also not talk about screen resolution lol.

It really makes me laugh that when people hear crysis on medium settings they say rubbish graphics. It is completely untrue. Crysis on medium still has higher res textures, better hdr, water effect, character models...I could go on. Because, crysis on medium is like most other pc games maxed out.

But, it is the closest thing to Crysis currently on consoles, no doubt about it. And posting a few low res screens to try and downplay it is beyond a joke in contrast to actually PLAYING THE GAME. Hell, you can find bad screenshots of any game....even Crysis.

There is shadowing but like real life if you are in the shade you don't cast shadows! look at the fence you can see the sunlight beaming through

The fact that it is MP does matter.

They completely sterilized the MP graphics. The Time of Day is never dramatic, just always mid-day, very bright out. Time of Day has more to do with how good a Crysis screenshot looks than in ANY other game I have ever seen.

I won't deny that MGS4 look better than the "Medium" settings, but a mix of Medium and High, leaning more towards the "High" side, does beat MGS4.

I think what has happened is that GS has appeared biased towards the 360 the entire time, so in order to appear impartial, they have thrown the cows a bone...lest they get "mad cow" disease, which is aptly portrayed in System Wars all the time.

The reason for poor shadowing is he has taken the shots in the shade, so shadows can't be casted look at the fence you can see the sun light beaming through.
