I agree, Crysis looks so BAD !!! Especially comparing to ... MGS4 !!!

Why do Gamespot and console users keep comparing console games to Crysis?

The only thing that comes close overall is Uncharted. As for MGS only the charecter models match Crysis..

But even with Uncharted nearly coming close... Crysis is much larger, and the Ultra High setting for Crysis isn't even released yet... While Very High settings spank any and every console game.

So just stop.

MGS4 has amazing graphics but obviously doesn't dethrone Crysis. Also, why did you compare a great Crysis screenshot to the worst MGS4 one, if you're gonna make a comparison at least make a good one.

I seriously LOL at anybody who really believes MGS4 is more graphically powerful and/or technically demanding than Crysis.

Reading through this thread, it's become painfully obvious that the cows have put MGS4 on a massive pedestal in every conceivable way possible. Sure, the game got a 10, but not because of the graphical fidelity behind it.

Crysis will always stomp on MGS4 in graphics.

Perhaps quoting that statement will emphasize it more. The fact is that in most cases, PC > consoles graphically. So obviously, PC's most graphically stunning game > PS3's most graphically stunning game in terms of graphics. We all know this. 769,448 more pictures of Crysis will not emphasize it any more. Technically =/= Graphically. And MGS4 is better than Crysis technically.

If you disagree, then that is what you should be arguing about. The visual thing is getting old. We know Crysis has better graphics, let's all get over it.

Crysis is still the best looking game though.

That image is false. It was taken in the demo, in DX9. Not to mention in a rubbish location. I actually think MGS4 looks slightly better on the characters, there amazing. But the enviroments aren't as detailed or as big and it doesn't have the physics Crysis has. Crysis is much much better in the technical department and won't be dethroned for a long time. Still I prefer MGS4 since I'm an MGSophile. But at the end of the day nothing I just said will make a diffrence since people will just say I'm wrong because there opinion(or fact as they like to put it) differs.

IMO this 10/10 is given just because it is called MGS4

The graphics are on the good to mediocre side for this gen, and the gameplay far from innovative or stellar, something Lost Odyssey was KILLED for, but seems the pay check from Sony did a good job, and the reviewers "forgot" the bad and only put forth the good

This is system wars is it not? I'm pretty sure certain xbox 360 users will feel the same way with ps3 lapping up a 10 from gamespot. If Metal Gear solid 4 did look better graphical, it's not like ps3 wouldn't be trying to blast it in our faces every 5 minutes, because they would, let's face it.
