Working on backlog so only played two games released this year. Max Payne 3 > Mass Effect 3. Edit: Forgot Twisted Metal. It gets an honorable brobze medal :P.
There hasn't been any games that scream "GOTY" so far. I've played KoA, Mass Effect 3, Journey, and Diablo III for new 2012 games. Also Xenoblade Chronicles for NA but I'm not going to count that since it's not technically a 2012 game. Anyways, so far I'd have to vote for Mass Effect 3 for great gameplay throughout the game. Though the two games I really want this year are Darksiders II and Pikmin 3. Those will probably be my contenders for 2012 GOTY.
