D you currently own or have you ever owned an XBOX 360 that has malfunctioned?

If you like, could you state how long you've owned an XBOX 360, like the month and year you purchased or recieved and approx. when your XBOX 360 became defective?

I'd also like to hear of any other current gen systems you may have had that have malfunctioned for future polls for the purpose of personal number gathering.

1. Not everyone who votes will post.

2. Yes, the poll is neutral. But, that won't stop 360 fanboys from voting the 2nd option and it won't stop other fanboys from voting the first option. There are some honest voters in the mix but I'm sure the fanboys outnumber them.

I'm on my second, and own two. When my first one broke, i didn't get it repaired right away and instead bought a second on for cheap. Then MS said they'd fix them all for free, so i thought, what the hell, i may as well.

I don't really understand the point of this thread, you cant get an accurate poll in SW. I will say this (and I have before) I have never met a person in RL who owns a 360 that hasn't had to send it in at least once (20+) including myself.

That mean it;s 100%? No

But personally I find the concern of RROD valid.

I'm on my 3rd 360 will or you can say the 2nd since the 1st one was given to me by a friend and it lasted for about 1 year with him and 6 months with me.

I got my first 360 at the UK launch. It RROD'd not long after the warrenty expired, so it sat in the corner of my room for a few months until they extended it. Once it got back it lasted less than 48 hours, and now I'm on my third one which has lasted a few years.

I bought a pro used, had it for six months or so, and sold it. Never malfunctioned during that time. A couple of disc read errors is all I can think of, but nothing permanent.

On my first of all systems, launch bought. 3rd for DS and PSP though.

I think it's safe to say that apart from some older models still in circulation, the 360 is out of the woods, in terms of hardware failures.

ugh,.. piece of crap. First it had disc reading errors and then the disc tray wouldn't open all together. Made me angry -.-

what in the world happened there?

I've had 2 consoles that needed to be repaired. Also had a 3rd one that showed signs of going bad, so I got rid of it before it crashed again. I've been through 3 Xbox 360s. They been pretty spread out though.

I've never owned a 360, but one of my friends has had one with the RROD.

im on my 4th 360. the first ones disc drive died so they sent me a brand new 1, the new one started cracking my discs and was showing signs of RROD so i sold it and bought an elite which had a motherboard failureand MS repaired it but i sold that 360 too coz it was also cracking discs and now im on my 4th one which ive had for 3-4 months and its all good so far

Up until last year I was a handheld addict so yeah, alot of wear and tear but not the reasons I got 3.
