just doesnt look good for sony and MS when CNNtalking bad about them. oh well thought the article wasinteresting.

now shadowrun misses its target http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/fun.games/06/15/shadowrun/index.html

here is quote's from CNN

"While not without a few interesting features, "Shadowrun" is merely an average first-person shooter that SHOULD be half the price."

" In the end, however, the game is a good but not great Multiplayer team-based shooter that doesn/t leave a long-lasting impression. Perhaps if the game was $30 instead of up to $60, and didn't ocst anything extra to play gamers on another platform, "Shadowrun" might be a worthy buy for action fans.

So now CNN isn't just talking about executives leaving or the status of a console in general, but to review games? Wow...

Shadowrun is lots of fun if you can appreciate it. Otherwise just don't buy it. I'm loving it now. Lots better than say gears of war online. It's like chromehounds. It's just not one of those games to get high reviews, and one of those games that maybe most people will just hate, and others will love.

Anyways, shadowrun was never hyped for anything right?

They are right though. I guss that old saying..."A broken clock is right two time per day" holds true.

The rest of CNN's news today can be ignored...they were right twice today already.

sad but true.

What's sad is that you felt the need to counter the other story with this review about a game that was barely hyped. What's also sad is you continue this charade that you are a 360 fan when 9/10 of your posts are against MS and the 360 in some way and the other 1/10 is to cover your tracks. One moment you say you only had an xbox last gen, the next you say you had a PS2 all along(Can't keep track of your lies I guess). Now you believe showing people a pic of your 360 makes you less of a fanboy? Please, plenty of cows also own a 360 and/or a Wii. Owning a system doesn't automatically take away your fanboyism. At least other fanboys don't try to hide what they are. It's perfectly fine not to like the 360, just admit to it and call it a day.

Good thing most American's don't agree with you and watch fox. Say what you want, but FOX is the news king. Before them all news was left leaning or just plain socialist. With fox just trying to be in the middle they get branded a right-wing fascist group. Which is typical of the leftist...call everyone names and attack those that don't agree with you.

Personally I think all news should state their bias. The false notion that a newscaster needs to be unbiased is BS. Everyone has bias, just let me know where you're coming from so I can weight what you say accordingly. Polls have shown that over 85% of the news reporters are liberal. So obviously news has a liberal tone to it....that's fine, but dont' hide out and act like there is no bias to it. Just like the military is mostly conservative (not 85% though, but around 65%)...understanding that fact allows you to understand stories about them.

Fox is king because all the righties who listen to idiots like Limbaugh during the day, watch Fox at night. Left wingers tend not to care about as much about news/business. But yeah, Fox is king, but it's no surprise.

Right, because it isn't part of the right-wing agenda to label all media as liberal... And please don't repeat pre-approved talking points to me. Right-wingers do nothing but attack the left all day on the radio.

I agree. You can't tell me that a company owned by Murdoch staffed by Ailes with hosts like OReilly, Gibson, Snow, Hannity doesn't tilt to the right.

Also, I'd love to see these polls you are referring to. Where did you get them from, MRC?

Shadowun is a great game. My opinion is just as valid as CNN's.

BTW- LosDaddie - I can see your point about Fox being right leaning but come on man - your generalization about Lefties being uncaring about the news and business is such a silly genralization its pathetic. I have plenty of Left leaning friends that are A) in business and B) watch the news. I personally vote for who isn't going to infringe on my personal liberties. I wish more people voted that way or RAN for election that feel that way.

To keep this focused on Video Games - remember who is for censorship as it relates to games. What just happened to the UK with manhunt 2 could easily happen to the USA if your senate and president isnt on your side.

I didn't say Lefties don't care about business/news. I said they don't care as much as Righties do. Righties tend to gravitate more towards business while Lefties gravitate more towards social service. Besides if my "generalization" was pathetic, thenhis Limbaugh/Boortz-definition of a Leftist must've made you angry.

On Topic: CNN is good for the off-beat gaming news stories. Not for reviews.

As a shadowrun owner, I agree that this game is too expensive, but I got my copy for $40 via a promotion... its my most played 360 game and is VERY fun. If I have to pay for DL content, im gonna freak because there is much missing to this game, but what is there is great if you ignore the price you paid for it.

Funny how you leave out the liberal commentator on fox. Colmes, Juan Williams, Morton Kondracke (more of a moderate), and there are others. I guess since their ration is 8 to 1 lib to conservative they are a right wing hate machine.

HAha..... liberals=namecallers????

Hmm... yeah, they came up with the term, "hippies", right?

And there is absolutely nothing wronf with newscaster bias. But when the the entire broadcast is biased, even in the news they choose to show, now THATS aproblem.and THATS Fox news

Well, the game WOULD be better if it WAS half the price 0_0 Shadowrun is nowhere near worth sixty dollars. Why would anyone be surprised by this review?

You're using the public opinion of a populace that voted Bush in - twice - to judge something's quality? Typical right winger... Use the masses' fear inspired opinions to justify your position...

You mean the same populace that voted for Clinton twice! And that looks like they will be voting for Hillary. Typical liberal...only votes count when you win.

Way to keep slinging mud and completely miss the irony. Typical right winger, does nothing but call names to the bitter end ;)

Huh? You call me names and then claim it's wrong to call names...then you call me a name again. Well I guess I should have expected that from a ......

Are either of you REALLY a right-winger or a liberal?

Do you even know what the terms mean? Because all I see are two little kids playing grown-up....

Huh? So it's ok for cBS, CNN, ABC, NBC to all slant left or even make up false stories about the right. But Fox can't show news stories that the left doesn't want you to know...or it's wrong. Somehow that doesn't sound fair.

If you don't like it, turn it off. Just like the rest of America is doing to CNN, ABC, cBS, and NBC.

Just because these networks don't slant the samedirection Fox does, DOES NOT mean that they slant the opposite way. The ydon't slant. Unless you call airing criticism of a terrible president leftist slanting (in which case you'd be a redneck)

Fox is popular. There's no denying that. Even I watch Fox. But THEY dont have Anderson Cooper :p

Huh? You do know they were left before the current President. And one of them even made up a story about his Guard record. And since then he's been fired after the blog-o-sphere ratted him out! If making up stories to help the left and hurt the right isn't left leaning I don't know what is.

You're making my point by claiming all news is neutral except for Fox. What I'm saying is all news is biased and they should claim that bias. At least fox lets you know who is liberal and who is conservative on their network and they don't stack their talk shows 3 to 1 (or more) of libs vs conservatives.

But this is a gaming forum, so we should just agree to disagree.

I myself definitely did not hype up Shadowrun in anyway at all since it looked like a stinker from the get go. I don't remember there being many threads about it here. Did people try to claim AAA for it? Did you people see the previews for it or just a few screenshots before deciding?

Yeah... interesting CNN is doing reviews now. This is just a testament to what kind of changes are occuring around the culture of Video Gaming. It's growing a lot and media outlets are starting to jump on the bandwagon or fear being left behind.

Funny how you leave out the liberal commentator on fox. Colmes, Juan Williams, Morton Kondracke (more of a moderate), and there are others. I guess since their ration is 8 to 1 lib to conservative they are a right wing hate machine.

mikasa

And yet none of those "liberals" you mentioned has their own show. Colmes is more of a sidekick to Hannity than anything else. There's a reason why Colmes is a joke to real liberals.

How about Gibson reporting on the false story of Obama's childhood school and reporting the leak was by Hillary without first doing research on the story? Yeah....Fox News never would never stoop to the level of those damn "liberal" networks :rolls:

Whatever, if Hannity AND COLMES isn't having your own show I dont' know what is. He's liberal through and through. What I like about him is he's honest. He won't change his thoughts just to suit a politician. And I admire that aspect. I wish some more right wingers would do the same.

just doesnt look good for sony and MS when CNNtalking bad about them. oh well thought the article wasinteresting.

now shadowrun misses its target http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/fun.games/06/15/shadowrun/index.html

here is quote's from CNN

"While not without a few interesting features, "Shadowrun" is merely an average first-person shooter that SHOULD be half the price."

" In the end, however, the game is a good but not great Multiplayer team-based shooter that doesn/t leave a long-lasting impression. Perhaps if the game was $30 instead of up to $60, and didn't ocst anything extra to play gamers on another platform, "Shadowrun" might be a worthy buy for action fans.

Actually they are not saying anything thata lof other publications are not saying so who cares?

Absolutely they stack the guests. But not in the same ratio most news watchers were used to...andthat's how they get bias claims against them. Typical Sunday morning show. 2 or 3 liberal guests and commentators vs. 1 conservative. And then teh conservative is usually someone like tucker carlson or Lindsey Graham. At lesat fox tries to bring both extremes to the forefront and keep it balanced-->and that it why they are the most watched.

EDIT: BTW: I was wrong earlier when I used an 8 to 1 Ratio. Looks like it's now 9:1... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19113485

All but one Fox reporter/staffer that donated to politicians went to the democrat! It was like 5 to 1. But like I said since they aren't going with the typcial 9 to 1 ratio that the democrats expect...well they are labeled right-wing fascist. Read the aritcle. Click on the link that shows details of everyone they tracked. Why, oh Why do you presume reporters are giving money to democrats at a ratio of 9 to 1 over the republicans?

And my point is that it's fine, but just make it known which side you're pulling for so we can make an informed decision about the news you're pushing.
