Dark Souls 2 is my most anticipated game, but The Witcher 2 is defnitely number 2. It's a shame I have to wait until next year to play them.

YOU PLAY IT NOA! :x[QUOTE="Rocker6"]
Witcher 3, though I can't wait for Dark Souls 2 as well!
Also, haven't even played the first DS, it's just sitting on my Steam for now, but think I'll play it next month, too busy right now for a lengthy and challenging RPG.

I can't, I barely have the time to game as of now, and even less for posting here.
Working some long hours these days, and it can get very tiresome, not the proper mood for a long game requiring plenty of patience, but thing should calm down a bit in a week or two, then I'll get to it.
Right now, I'm eliminating shorter games from my backlog, like Crysis 3.
My pick is Witcher 3. I really wanted to like Dark Souls but horrible PC version made it unplayable.ciabassIt's easily the worst port I've ever played but the game works at least. And from what I understand some sections of the game run terribly on the consoles. I had my framerate drop only at a few places for 5 seconds or so throughout the entire game.

Tell me when you play, we could do some co op..[QUOTE="SonySoldier-_-"]
The Witcher series is very overrated with linear gameplay. Elder Scrolls series has superior and deeper gameplay. But The Witcher 3 looks like it will be the first actual good game in the series, finally going open world and hopefully add more depth to the gameplay.

you can't be talking about skyrim..there's no way you're talking about skyrim.
im talking about the series as a whole. i know skyrim wasn't the series strong point.
and the point im trying to make is that the first two witcher games are overrated, but I understand the hype for the The Witcher 3 because it looks like they're finally moving in the right direction.

the right direction being what? open world? no that was a choice that many fans are worried about. you can drop the"overrated bomb" all you want, but the series is successful and has a fanbase..[QUOTE="SonySoldier-_-"]

i said worried not complain..and you wouldn't see that if you hang around on this board. When it was announced that CDPR were taking cues from skyrim it made alot of fans concerned because it's their first time attemping an open world and skyrim wasn't the best example to use since your actions don't mean jack in the elder scroll series.

For me, Witcher 3. Mainly because I haven't even play much of Dark Souls yet. The Witcher 2 is the real deal, so I'm eager for The Witcher 3. I still want Dark Souls 2 though as well. Both of these games should be incredible. I don't know which game is coming first. I'll probably preorder them both in the end.Dark Souls 2!!

Love the Souls games but the witcher 2 was the best RPG ever made ever. TW3 will be another masterpiece.

Definitely. We have had a dorught of quality RPGs since 2011 when TW2, Dark Souls, Deus Ex, and Skyrim came out (inb4 lolz@Skyrim being a quality RPG)
[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"]Played Demon's Souls and it sucked. Never bothered with Dark Souls and won't be bothering with Dark Souls 2 either.blamix99demons souls sucked? or was it you that sucked playing it?Game was easy, just boring. I almost finished it, but couldn't bring myself to care to go any further. I had beaten the first two bosses on every level and the third boss on some of the levels, then got bored and stopped. Game collects dust and I haven't touched it in almost two years now. Funny how so many complained the game was too hard. Wasn't very hard at all to me. It is as simple as learning the foes attack patterns.
I'm equally hyped for both, even though I liked The Witcher 2 more than DS1. I only have a DS2 sig cause its coming out sooner!Â
Says who? Metacritic has the witcher games at 88 and the souls series at 89.[QUOTE="GuNsbl4ziN"]Witcher 3 by far. It will be the better game.Omega-316
Says I.
As someone who has put in more than a 1000 hours in Dark Souls and multiple playrhoughs in the witcher series, I can clearly say that I am much more interested in The Witcher 3. The souls series combat destroys the combat in Witcher and Witcher 2. It probably has the best swordplay system made but the Witcher 3 is also gonna be heavily improved so it's too early to say that DS2 combat will be better. We still need to see how the dynamic camera works in Witcher 3. The great thing about the Witcher series was how important your choices was and the effects they have. The story is amazing and the game also has great visuals to boot on (on PC at least) Dark Souls had inferior visuals but a better artstyle and atmosphere. The reason why I'm so excited for Witcher 3 is because of how ambitious the game is. I've never seen an open world rpg as ambitious as this. Also, many jounralists if not most who saw the closed doors demo said that the Witcher 3 made E3. I can see Witcher 3 get in the 90's on metacritic. I can't wait for DS2 also but Witcher 3 seems like it's gonna be a better game, that is if the promises that Cd Projekt makes carries weight.
I have yet to finish Dark Sould Prepare to Die edition on PC, but it's a really good game, no doubts on 2!
The other game is another i play, that will also be as good.
Not really hyped about either, tbh. I've played Dark Souls and its excellent, but I'm not done with it. And while I own both Witcher games, I haven't completed either.
So I think I'll try to finish those before I get hype.
Dark Souls 2. But I want both games very badly.
And I absolutely disagree with anyone who says the Nexus feature of Demon Souls was a good feature. It felt like a Mario game (world 1-1, 1-2, yuck). I absolutely loved the open concept of Dark Souls. I think everything they scrapped from Demon Souls should remain gone. I'm not too pleased that maximum health punishment is back. Really glad there is no Magic meter or herb heals.
But I want both Dark Souls 2 and The Witcher 3. Love both.
The witcher 3 by a long shot. The one negative point of W2 over W1 was the worlds size ( witcher 2 was more restricted). Now that they are making it open world = win win
I wanted to like DS since the combat was absolutely great but the terrible port job they did on pc mehh.
Also cyberpunk is right up there with the W3 if not more hyped for me
