A 12 Minute Gameplay video of Dark Souls 2 is expected to premiere tomorrow on IGN @12PM PT. Check back on this thread for a summary of the new features dsiplayed on the video, and ofcourse, the gameplay reveal itself.

The 12 minute Gameplay video will reveal a number of new mechanics, dungeons, creatures, scenarios and combat. There's also going to be a Q&A session which will feature Director Yui Tanimura and Nanmco Bandai producer, Tak Miyazoue...to talk about Dark Souls 2.

I'm really, genuinely looking forward to seeing this. Can't believe I was hating on the series a couple months ago. 

Despite not having the patience for Demon's Souls checkpoint system, I might get Dark Souls sometime. The open-world aspect always intrigued meBlabadon

Dark Souls check points are muuuch better.

You really should. Its worth every second of your time. It almost reminds me of the old Zelda games (primarily A Link to the Past) in the way that the overarching world is presented to you. One of the best games this generation for sure.

The announcement said it's coming to the PC, so yeah, all versions should be released at the same time. Don't see why not....

Can't wait. Dark Souls is one of the few games I still play. I just hope they iron out some online issues and fully flesh out the covenants. I'm tired of the seeing the same builds on line with PvP devolving into nothing more than flip dancing for back stabs. HoolaHoopMan

Backstab....and the imminent Wrath of th Gods finisher as you're trying to get up.

Basically, they just gotta readjust a lot of stuff thats overdone for the sake of spamming and quick kills. From a gameplay standpoint, I'm expecting something ergonomically and entirely different. An engine re-work that can actually work and its effective. An engine that prevents laggy attack input in singleplayer and significantly decreases the lag online.

And ofcourse an expansion on Covenants and how they affect your playthrough, flesh out the story a bit more, better non-intrusive animations, voice lip synching, better physics, etc...but more than anything....perfect an almost perfect element which is: Gameplay

I hope it's good. Can't say I'm excited for it, but I'll probably end up getting it :P.

Yeah, I'm just worried that the focus will be on PC and current gen consoles, and that next gen consoles will be short handed instead of looking similar to PC. Although they could always just port the game to next gen consoles later, which might be a better option. I mean, all things considered, they're a pretty small studio.
