I say what not? Shouldn't be too hard for From Software to port the 360 version to the Wii U and add the Wii U exclusive features.
Maybe Namco will release it on the Wii U store instead of risking a physical release.
Lol!! NO!! What doesn online fees have to do with Dark Souls coming to the Wii U? It's irrelevant, as the game is going to come out on the XBox 360 anyways. The Wii U costs more then the XBox 360 and PS3. at $350. FromSoft won't do this because the Wii U doesn't have a large enough user base. They need to get over 10 million users for FromSoft to even glance in the Wii U's direction.
I know after I played Demon's Souls and sony allowed From Software to stay idle and go multiplatform with the next game it was the worse tatical error of the generation. I bet Sony is kicking themselves for not trying to partner up or even trying to aquire them before they got all this attention. Too late now Sony you missed your chance.
Good thing Demon's Souls is still owned by Sony they may still comission From to make a ture sequel for PS4 if From really dosen't decide to port Dark Souls 2 to next gen consoles. 720 will just be left out.

Staying exclusive in this day and age only hurts gamers. If it were up to me there would be no exclusives, but companies need something to push consoles I guess
Also porting to PC was probably one of the smartest decisions they made. The amount of attention the game got due to PC alone is huge. All the stuff about the petition and crappy port made headlines, then the mod made headlines and it snowballed from there. And now it's the lead platform for DSII
[QUOTE="casharmy"]better experience for choosing and supporting the system whos company works to give their fans the best games. Yes,they´re called fanboys.who is called fanboys? Your response doesn't even make sense. You must be officially butthurt. lol what's with that lame ass comeback? Why would i want a WiiU version ?
Would be 1000x worse looking than PS4 one and would be on a system i dont plan to buy
millerlight89
I would rather they spend their money and time making it for PS4
So, why would i want to compromise the game with mediocre visuals on WiiU, when i could have a true next gen PS4 version instead ?
After the PS4 one, be my guest, i will sign a petition for wiiU too, but only after PS4 gets it
Online petition to bring From Software's role-playing game to Nintendo's first HD console begins; 3,000 signatures netted thus far.
On Friday night, Dark Souls II was announced for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, but not the Wii U. Now, gamers have launched anonline petition at Change.org to bring the role-playing game to Nintendo's first high-definition console. It has netted 3,204 signatures thus far.
The creator of the Dark Souls II Wii U petition cites a couple of reasons the Wii U and its GamePad controller could benefit the game. The first, he said, is by using the GamePad to manage inventory. Controlling the inventory this way, players would not have their vision obscured on the TV itself when searching for items, he said.
The second major reason Dark Souls II should come to the Wii U, he said, is the console's "affordability" relative to the PC and PS3, as well as online fees associated with Xbox Live. Online access for the Wii U is free, with the exception of a 50-cent charge for minors.
Dark Souls II will feature a new hero, a fresh storyline, and an "unfamiliar" setting. "Epic battles with gruesome enemies" are promised, as well as a revamped server-based multiplayer mode that aims to "put a distinct Dark Souls II twist on the concept of playing with others."
Dark Souls II will also be "more straightforward and more understandable," according to new director Tomohiro Shibuya.

What do you guys think? What did they expect buying a nintendo consle, now they want traditional core games on a causual system. Good luck to them but All I know is they were trolling with their coments bout PS4 and 720, I am positive they will port to next gen systems once they release, wii U to if enough sheep beg like dogs.
DISCUSS.
Considering the failure of the Wii U it self, I doubt the petition would even reach the minimum amount of serious supporters for it to be viable.
I mean come on, they would have to figure out the type of gimmick they want to use for the gamepad, then they would have to actually sell more than 1 copy... How do you expect them to manage that?

It's not so much as the Gamepad use for Dark Souls 2, but the Miiverse integrations they could use.
Dark souls can greatly benefit from that.

[QUOTE="deangallop"]It did for the PC version of Dark Souls.Do any of these petitions EVER work? (serious question)

Cool, didn't know that. So I guess there is a small chance this could work.

No it can't and it's not coming to the Wii U #DealWithItreminds me of the ff13 petition.
oh wait that's totally dfferent. cows were begging for developers to keep a game away from other gamers. nvm then. :(

You're probably right. :P For reals though, I think a port to the Wii U requires just too much extra effort for something that isn't even guaranteed. The petition for a PC port of Dark Souls was a win win situation since such a port (especially with the amount of effort they actually put in to it lol) is quite inexpensive to make. A Wii U version would require more resources.[QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"][QUOTE="parkurtommo"]

I would like for the game to come to WiiU, but I'll probably get the PC version when it comes out anyway.

lol as a PC gamer of course you would wish for that. But it's exclusives that sets systems apart, the fact that you are a PC gamer and wish that you could eliminate them says alot.If the 360/PS3 can play it, so can the WiiU, so I signed it.Heil68By gamers for gamers From will do the right thing. One of the best gaming companies period. They actually listended to hermit tears when they were begging for Dark Souls.
Thank you From Software

Stupid. If they didn't already think it was a good idea to make a Wii U version, no one should want them to do it.Cherokee_Jack
Great Logic.
They didn't initially release Dark Souls on the PC, so why should no one want them to do it?

Much different case.
a. Our version of PC gaming barely exists in Japan
b. PC development has its own unique difficulties, greater than in Wii U development in comparison to PS3/360
They are much more likely to have fully considered a Wii U version.

I used to wish my friends with 360s could play Uncharetd so I could talk to them about it.
Exclusives are great for boasting and proving how good your system is, but in the end exclusives also hurt a lot of gamers. A lot of people can't play a brilliant game like Journey and up until a little while ago I wasn't able to play an amazing game like Dark Souls 1. A lot of people won't be able to play TLOU either. That and multiplat versions of something like Uncharted would sell like hot cakes.
But I understand why there are exclusives, it's impossible not to understand it. I just don't like them. Then again they make SW what it is

If they want to play it then they need to buy that system. Period. Isn't that what you do to console players when hyping exclusive games on PC? Why the charge of heart when consoles are involved..Please Log In to post.
