Wii U is failing but I would rather have it on there and not on the 360. MS needs to die. Sony & Nintendo should unite and become 1 big gaming company against MS. They almost did way back and were going to make the Nintendo Playstation. Now they should do it for real. Sony make the hardware and Nintendo add their game franchises.

Despite all the hate from idiotic anti Wii U fanboys (who are childish to begin with...); I will say it definitely worked for the PC version of Dark Souls. Yes, that started with a petition.

I signed it. I'd definitely buy it on Wii U over the others if it came out there.

Nope, I said the same thing when I just had a PS3. I used to wish my friends with 360s could play Uncharetd so I could talk to them about it. 

Exclusives are great for boasting and proving how good your system is, but in the end exclusives also hurt a lot of gamers. A lot of people can't play a brilliant game like Journey and up until a little while ago I wasn't able to play an amazing game like Dark Souls 1. A lot of people won't be able to play TLOU either. That and multiplat versions of something like Uncharted would sell like hot cakes.

But I understand why there are exclusives, it's impossible not to understand it. I just don't like them. Then again they make SW what it is

I'm trying to remember the last game that came to PC I played that was actualyl exclusive :? Hermits in general may do that, I don't personally. Maybe for a bit of fun now and then but nothing more. And buying a full system for an exclusive is not as viable an option as buying the game on a system you already have

Online petition to bring From Software's role-playing game to Nintendo's first HD console begins; 3,000 signatures netted thus far.

On Friday night, Dark Souls II was announced for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, but not the Wii U. Now, gamers have launched anonline petition at Change.org to bring the role-playing game to Nintendo's first high-definition console. It has netted 3,204 signatures thus far.

 

The creator of the Dark Souls II Wii U petition cites a couple of reasons the Wii U and its GamePad controller could benefit the game. The first, he said, is by using the GamePad to manage inventory. Controlling the inventory this way, players would not have their vision obscured on the TV itself when searching for items, he said.

The second major reason Dark Souls II should come to the Wii U, he said, is the console's "affordability" relative to the PC and PS3, as well as online fees associated with Xbox Live. Online access for the Wii U is free, with the exception of a 50-cent charge for minors.

Dark Souls II will feature a new hero, a fresh storyline, and an "unfamiliar" setting. "Epic battles with gruesome enemies" are promised, as well as a revamped server-based multiplayer mode that aims to "put a distinct Dark Souls II twist on the concept of playing with others."

Dark Souls II will also be "more straightforward and more understandable," according to new director Tomohiro Shibuya.

1. Dark Souls is a niche game, even on ps3 and 360. Wii U, having sold poorly, and with the casual taste of its owners, would seem like a poor choice for developers.

2. Gamepad inventory display? Really? Let me make it simple. From Software purposedly denied us a pause feature, such that inventory management has to be done in real time....such that we can't simply swap out anything other than primary weapons during combat.....and that petition creator is asking From to consider adding a convenient inventory display screen? Doesn't he understand how From thinks?

This would be a terrible idea, I can't see it selling well at all on the WiiU.
