I think the higher metascore was a given. A lot of people will be put off by Dark Souls' difficulty, and it's definitely not for everyone. Skyrim is far more accessible and therefore more people will enjoy it. That doesn't make it better though.

Good lord. I don't even know why I try to be reasonable here.
It's System Wars, where a good troll is more appreciated than a reasonable post.[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"]

You can increase the difficult on skyrim if you want ( I don"t recommend it though :P ) and it becomes brutally difficult. I actually would have thought that skyrim would be less accessable given the fact that it reveals in everything that makes a WRPG a WRPG. Wouldn"t people be put of by all the leveling up, equipment management dialouge that is synonmous with this genre. As opposed to dark souls which is basically kill things and die repeatdly

There's a lot of that too in Dark Souls, and for the equipment, well, you better get used to that later in the game when it gets ridiculous.[QUOTE="musalala"]

So imagine if you will Iron flesh is an entire school of magic that you can modify with perks so that it has different affects.
