Day Z is over 900,000!!! PC ANNIHILATION CONTINUATION

Over 900k unique players :D and this is only an incomplete mod to a military simulator, and to play the mod you need ArmA 2, plus the expansion pack, so this has me thinking War Z will sell a bucketload since it is a standalone, will be on Steam, F2P I believe but has preorders, offer more features than current Day Z.

Bohemia owes these guys big time, probably valve too since they're clearly aware of it seeing as how ArmA 2 plus the expansion for Day Z is constantly on sale.

Glad to hear. I personally have yet to play Day Z. I have heard plenty of the hype about it and watched plenty, sorry, a ton of videos on it, but it just doesn't appeal to me. This is odd since I am a huge sucker for anything zombie related. The world is just a little too empty, the zombies are too easy to kill, and they don't do enough damage to you.

Any how, still glad to hear the mod is doing well and I hope we have another Minecraft on our hands.

That's is why I'm holding out for War Z unless ArmA franchise is on sale for super cheap, I find it disrespectly to buy the game but to only play the mod. You see lots of ArmA fans getting pissed over Day Z, because ArmA is only being recognized for the mod not for what the game is by itself.

There's nothing out. Anywhere. So their getting excited makes perfect sense. If anything, it changes the context of what you're saying from pity to jealousy.

Yes, this game is fantastic. No doubt this thread will spawn cynical reactions (and it already has it seems), but I think everyone would love to have this experience on their respective system.

Man, do you know how much money you save with mods? We don't need them. We WANT them.

I played the zombie gameplay mod for CS:S for like, three years. It was free, and it was just a single gameplay mode added to a remake of an old mod.

Mods kick ASS. We don't need them. We WANT them. Look at Skyrim for the PC, and what you can do with it, and compare it to the console version. A lot of that content is free.

The mod is not boring at all lol. Infact its created a new genre. In the next 203 years you will see a TON of games trying to emulate what Dayz does so well.

Atrocious action gameplay. Potential to get hundreds of hours of mediocre entertainment. Sound like a typical PC-game to me, no wonder it's succesful. Sushiglutton

It's all too easy to pick out points in a game and berate them, but pointless when the game obviously has a certain X factor that no other game has touched upon, thus why so many people really enjoy it.

I am liking this game a lot, I haven't played it but I am very impressed. Probably the best zombie game ever made. It's even more impressive that this is just a giant mod basically that people made, I like seeing the creativity of people, especially when it's from fellow gamers.

I wonder if my PC can handle this then? Though I hear this game can be a bit buggy.

i was excited about this game untill some dude came in here and linked a bunch of videos to promote the game but instead revealed day z to be a giant griefbox filled with douchebags.

somebody please tell me there is a single player mode so i don't have to interact with a bunch of people who think it is funny to grief people.
