Do I need to post that OPM article where they were begging for PC titles?

Do I need to post the articles of hermit begging? Why deny what you are? Accept your place and get on your knees. Im sure theres a console game coming out you should be begging for right now.

So console gamers are beggers too, better get on your knees and pray that sony and microsoft grace you with more games

Please learn reading and no more butthurt tears. You do not look so pretty when ugly crying.

I'll say it again because you can't seem to understand English. The PS3 exclusive that was Journey also bankrupted the company behind it.

That's not really strange if Sony expected a 1 year development cycle and ended up with 3.

Consolites dont need to beg. Anyone developer with sense and good games develops for consoles. Sorry to burst your generalizing bubble. Isnt it time to start another GTA5 petition? Better get on that, hermit

I don't, Dear Esther wasn't a game and its sure as hell not worth $10. Plenty of other games on both PS3, X360 AND PC worth playing at that price point.

Shame. But if I would have to loose one of Chinese Room games I would prefer it to be this instead of Amnesia: machine for pigs.

That said, this is the beauty of pcgaming. For every moneyhatted dev that leaves couple more appear to take it's place. Dear Esther really pioneered this type of games, but now Gone Home has moved it to completely different level.

Looking at their games, isn't that just one? Dear Esther seems like the only one that has been released and gain any real popularity. Sony does this regularly. They bring on smaller, up and coming indie devs to develop some PS exclusives. Thatgamecompany and Giant Sparrow come to mind as notable ones. Given the description of working with SSM to develop the game, it sounds like much the same situation.

[QUOTE="jhonMalcovich"]

Meh...they will crawl back on their belly. Mark my words.

Thatgamecompany made Journey and went bankrupt on PS 3.

Mr-Kutaragi

"When development began, Sony expected the game to be completed in a year, rather than the more than three it finally took.[8] Thatgamecompany always expected needing an extension; according to Hunicke, they believed finishing the game within a year was "unrealistic".[9] Development ended up taking even longer than anticipated, as the team had difficulties paring down their ideas for the game and maintaining efficient communication.[9] Over the course of development the team grew from seven to eighteen people.[6][8] At the end of the second year, when Sony's extension had run out, the game did not spark the emotions in the player that the team wanted. Sony agreed to another one-year extension, but development ultimately exceeded even that.[10]

The stress of the project led to the feeling there was not enough time or money to complete everything the team wished to, which added to the stress and caused arguments about the design of the game. The developers ended up reducing the overtime they spent on the project to avoid burning out, though it meant further delays and risked the company running out of money as the game neared completion. In a speech at the 16th annual D.I.C.E. Awards in 2013, Chen admitted that the company had indeed been driven to bankruptcy in the final months of development, and that some of the developers had gone unpaid at the time.[10] Hunicke described the solution to finally finishing the game as learning to let go of tensions and ideas that could not make it into the game and be "nice to each other."

Journey received critical and commercial success worldwide. After its release, it became the fastest-selling game to date on PlayStation Store in both North America and Europe.[33]"

Please do not cry.

Lol. I missed the part of "Please do not cry.". I was thinking you were supporting my previous post.

Not by Journey sales, especially consider that fastest selling psn game. As quote point out, company engage in poor development practice to point of reducing overtime and causing multiple delay. Unless believe same will also happen to this company, make no sense to bring up Thatgamecompany. Just poor attempt of jonhmalkvich to comfort himself.

Truly, it seems like their moves are more along the lines of trying to develop the company and expand it to be much more self-sufficient. Co-developing a sequel to a quite popular franchise would help a bit. Signing up with Sony for a while basically gives them some stability while the company grows. It also means that the stability in growth also comes with a company that will let them make the type of games they want to make.

Yeah, I'm not really interested in that game anyways. There will always be Indie Exclusives on all platforms, so it's not really a big deal. Sony should have spent their money better I think.

Um anytime a PC gamer shows interest in a game it is considered begging. So for system wars standards, that article was begging.  Same with the petitions.

Well... basically it says that Sony pressed the developer too much with the deadline. And they ran out of budget. After the development they went bankrupt.

My conclusion: you are an idiot. Sorry. No offense. :|

Not by Journey sales, especially consider that fastest selling psn game. As quote point out, company engage in poor development practice to point of reducing overtime and causing multiple delay. no one said it didn't sell well. But making the game bankrupted the company

Poor development practice made them bankrupt. If saying game made bankrupt, this indicate that game was not successful selling. The reality is quite opposite. So, to say that Rapture dev will "crawl back on belly, mark words" because Journey dev went bankrupt, would mean that Rapture dev will also engage in poor practice and go bankrupt before release of game. This is not unique proposition on any platform, dev engage in poor practice on pc, 360, ps3, handheld. To bring up Journey and ps3 is poor attempt to comfort himself at this indie game not going pc.

To bring up Journey and ps3 is poor attempt to comfort himself at this indie game not going pc.

okay, the company still went bankrupt due to the game.

I own you last time and you disappear from thread crying. Please do not disappear again, accept your shame.

Awards in 2013, Chen admitted that the company had indeed been driven to bankruptcy in the final months of development, and that some of the developers had gone unpaid at the time.[10] Hunicke described the solution to finally finishing the game as learning to let go of tensions and ideas that could not make it into the game and be "nice to each other"

Please, no more butthurting.

You didn't do shit. Now, I've show you from the very article you posted that the guys behind Journey went bankrupt. All you've done is duck and dodge that fact. So, unless you can come up with something else, I suggest you should stop crying, its ruining your mascara.

Clyde...accept your loss. They were driven to bankruptcy despite sony gave them more and more money & time. The near-bankruptcy was due to internal mismanagement and not due to ps3-exclusivity. Time to step down clyde, the hermits need your help in begging for a PC port of this game.

Not so much opinion vs opinion, but opinion vs fact. I really do not even understand why butthurt of this game not on pc, when plenty of good pc game. I guess because supporting indie dev and now make hype title as ps4 exclusive. It is their company, they are trying to move to bigger success.

No point in bringing up poor development practice of thatgamecompany. Leads to unintend consiquence such as clyde being own and butthurting. Why so hard to admit mistake on gamespot forum? Do not need all this "hurt feeling man, just opinion, expert or something?"

Im the blind one? Not you, the guy ignoring the massive beg orgy hermits have? Im not blond, blind, or angry. Some consolites may beg but most of us are above that. Unlike hermits, who beg at every chance they get.
