@cainetao11: I sort of skipped through the video and didn’t see much besides a huge backpack, some running around, and some pretty basic melee combat. Don’t really have time to sit through a 50 minute video but then again, I seen enough gameplay from previous presentations as it is, but if anyone has any doubts, I strongly wait for reviews even more so but I'm already on-board. I don't have any love for Kojima but this is a new IP game after all, so yeah.
Kojima is pretty consistent with the quality of gameplay, but DS really feels like it’s going to be hit or miss this November and I be really surprise if this gets GOTY contender.
This isn't directly towards you cainetao11, this is for the rest of this thread. Think it's called the Social Strand System and Death Stranding does look like an interesting departure from just regular video games. It has action and stealth and boss fights but the main goal of Death Stranding seems be to unite a fractured and terrorized dead nation from what it looks like... using like grenades using your own blood and your own urine as grenades lol... riding on that hoverboard and delivering stuff on those bikes looks fun especially while fighting/incapacitating those mook looking scientist nazi bio-hazard looking enemies. Looking back at this fully 50 vid, I think if this game was linear and not set in open-world, it would be fine, but I mean, I guess if you decide to play it in a linear-style, it could turn out to be okay. We'll have to wait and see once DS is release.
With all of that said, this is clearly a slow-burn game. If this isn't your thing, I recommend you just buy Doom: Eternal, that game has lots of nonstop action over the top shooter compare to DS and this is clearly a slow-burn of a game.
