I would be surprised a bit. even though i did say I think it would be around 800K.

I'm happy and sad at the same time.. happy because well those sales help the growth of the gaming industry, sad because it shows that exclusives are not the reason why for such numbers.

eh, wouldnt say that yet, we got like another 2 years atleast, and PS3 does have a killer lineup up next year and the sales gap between 360 and PS3 isnt really huge. And even if it didnt outsell it, does it really matter with the total sold being as close as they are?

Because the other racing game sold so so well...

The US simply isn't as interested in sim racers as Europe anymore.

Added Wii and PS3 numbers, 2.36 and 1.21 million respectively, and updated 360 number to two dp.

great numbers for the PS3, too anyway. 1,21 million consoles sold, not bad.

wow,bigger numbers then expected for PS3. Is 1.86 compared to 1.21 a big difference? I wonder if fanboys are going to try and call superiority over that. I guess the 500,000 numbers in november WERE a fluke.

While the 360 is the only system to have increased year over year, I expected more from 360 sales given the enormous momentum Kinect had last holiday season. It was easily the hottest gadget, yet MS still fell below the Wii in its strongest territory.

Sony should be happy, all things considered. They made no price adjustments or new SKUs (besides a slight hard drive space bump) between December 2009 and December 2010 but still came away with nearly the same numbers. Next December, they'll definitely need a price cut in place.

I can't even guess this time whether the 360 or PS3 had higher worldwide numbers last quarter. I suspect the numbers will be close, but 360 should edge ahead unless GT5 caused some sort of massive sales disruption in Europe.

All solid sales for every system.

Very nice sells. Wii still reigns supreme so I suppose the status quo has remained the same.
