[QUOTE="bigboss5ak"]So the ps3 sold less this year in december than last year december so much for gt5 being a system seller. Also great numbers for the 360 now im surely certain the gap has widened.Rahnyc4
ps3 has no system sellers, clearly...

Lol so smug. NPD aint the world pal. I wouldnt be surprised if PS3 passed 360 worldwide. 360 has no exclusives this year,clearly...

That isn't likely.

Oct - Dec 2010 looks like this:

US/NPD: X360 = 3.55 MM vs PS3 = 2.0 MM

JP/MC: X360 = 0.05 MM vs PS3 = 0.5 MM

Total:X360 = 3.6 MM units vs PS3 = 2.5 MM units

Europe is unknown, but I would be doubtful because PS3 is down yr/yr in both US and Japan, which is likely to be the case for Europe too. 360 is up in US and down in Japan, but I suspect held its own in Europe losing to PS3 by a few 100K units at most.

My prediction is a net gain of 1.0 MM units worldwide for the 360 in Oct - Dec.

Surprisingly I know; yes, I am too - Although I really need to see an announcement from MS / Rare on a 2011 game soon or else. :P

If I had a choice between a last place system with best games/graphics over a multiplat machine that sells slightly better in one region, I think I'll take the former.

lol.

I have no doubt we'll see something big from Rare this year. I have a feeling ones going to be Viva Pinata 3 (with Kinect support).
