I don't think so they're mostly soccer moms and 7 yo kids so they're not very demanding for actual games. Those 360 buyers are going to be so disappointed this year.

So why aren't gamers buying the "superior" PS3...:| ..but that's ok because they "shipped" 77 million. OhSnapitzAccording to an "analyst source" that said the PS3 would outsell the 360's lifetime sales in 2009 and sell over 105 million by the end of 2012.

3DS doing very well, considering how sh*tty their overall 2012 lineup was. They dodged a bullet.
I doubt Wii U is gonna Gamecube (20m worldwide), I can see it do 40-50m at least.
Fiscal year 13 better be a turning point otherwise gen 8 is gonna be average for Nintendo. Pokemon X/Y early announcement and simultaneous October worldwide release is a good start. Now they need to follow up with Wii U news; some random "there is a 3D Mario coming before the year is over" or something at their investor meeting in a few weeks.
[QUOTE="Big_Pecks"]Not necessarily. 360 might end up being the go to budget console for people wanting a system and games on the cheap. Sort of like the PS2. How does it make any sense for the 360 to end up being that system? When it costs the same as a PS3 but doesn't have free online. Those 360 buyers are going to be so disappointed this year.

I'm a little confused on this. You might have it wrong. In the past , he's used numbers as a base. So Anngry Birds might be between 401k and 500k , and Street Fighter and Sonic might be between 301k and 400k. I'm not really sure , though. I don't have an account over there to ask.[QUOTE="charizard1605"]

This is why people hate America, and people fly planes into our buildings because of egotistical fvcks like you. I know what you mean, I was talking to my friend the other day about these pancakes I made that I thought were really good. He went on to say that his mother makes THE best pancakes ever. I was so outraged by his arrogance I drove my car through his house. I don't there is anyone that could say the fvcker didn't deserve it either.[QUOTE="jimmypsn"]

jimmypsn is a neanderthal for sure, but no, that is not even close to the reason people fly planes into buildings.
Only thing is, the next-gen competition isn't even out yet. Plenty of time.Wii U doing worse than '06 PS3? Nintendo must be pounding that panic button right now.

Hmmm, okay. I was just going by thefatness's post, which is why I modeled it the way I did.[QUOTE="TheDidact"]Nintendo can easily pull back up from the Wii U launch like they did with the 3DS. Step 1: Drop the price to $200/$250 Nintendo consoles usually sell based on their lower pricing than the competition, which appeals to families. Nintendo desperately needs this advantage when going up against two next gen consoles this year. Hopefully they'll have another ambassador program (with Gamecube games :D ) Step 2: Announce Major Titles for Launch this Holiday Many core gamers are hesitant on the Wii U due to its lack of announced upcoming software at the moment. That would change if Nintendo finally blew the lid off of Retro's Game (Most likely a new 3D Metroid), announced a new 3D Mario, and revealed the long rumored Yoshi's Story. Step 3: Get Third Parties Let's face it, all Nintendo systems have had trouble with third parties. Nintendo just needs to realize that not every third party game needs to be exclusive. Get game like GTA5 and Splinter Cell: Blacklist on the system at launch. Advertise exclusive features. Get exclusive DLC. Maybe we shouldn't judge third party game sales just yet as games like BO2, AC3, DS2, B:AC, and Madden 13 all released months or even a year before the Wii U version. Hopefully Nintendo will pull of getting the two games I mentioned above along with stuff like BF4, Dragon Age 3, Dark Souls 2, and MGS: GZ. Step 4: Announce Games for the Coming Years SSBU and Zelda U are HUGE System Sellers. Just let the public know they're coming. Step 5: ADVERTISE THE FVCK OUTTA EVERYTHING!!! Seriously. And do it well. Get somebody interesting to advertise your product. Create the next Kevin Butler for God's sake.DataUsageLimitZelda is a system seller? Yes, one of the (unfortunate) reasons people even buy Nintendo systems is because of Mario, Zelda, and Super Smash Bros. In fact, it is mostly first party support people think about when buying Nintendo systems, even when Nintendo addresses criticisms of lacking third party games (especially exclusives)
Zelda is not what it was 6 years ago anymore. People want Skyrim, not kiddy puzzelda. They want a vast overworld with an epic storyline, not gameplay mechanics and moving blocks around.
Also TP sold well because it was the only real choice for a core game at launch, and throughout 2007 until Prime 3 and Galaxy released.
Hahaha no. In spite of my scathing criticism for the direction the series has taken in the last few years, watch me lineup to get a system I detest as much as the Wii U on day one when Zelda releases. People still like Zelda. Nintendo's expanded casual fanbase is and was worth nothing: the Wii U's failure is proof of that. Their core fanbase, a collection of fundamentally rabid and passionate fans who buy entire systems to just play their games, they care for Zelda. And they will continue to care for Zelda, no matter whether or not it ever becomes Skyrim.Zelda is not what it was 6 years ago anymore. People want Skyrim, not kiddy puzzelda. And they probably won't use it. I know Aonuma said he still wants it, but others have something in mind with the Wii U pad.Hahaha no. Unfortunately, I will pick it up. They could put in a dance minigame, and I would pick it up. I'd criticize the sh*t out of them forever, but I'd pick it up. A series like Zelda that has built up goodwill over a period that exceeds a quarter of a century, it doesn't just lose all that goodwill without rhyme or reason. More importantly, they will probably not force us to use Motion Plus in the next release. Yes, I know what Aonuma said, and I know your theories on the matter. I disagree with them all.[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="Big_Pecks"]Not necessarily. 360 might end up being the go to budget console for people wanting a system and games on the cheap.
