^ WOW that argument about grinding is dumb.
Anyways I'm rushing to the store to get this, I hope I can get a copy.
I don't think it's going to be a HOT seller. Im sure you'll find a copy this game is going to be a system seller... i highly doubt that. It's just that level grinding is bad IMO, while "skill grinding" is good.Cherokee_JackIt's just preference. "Skill" grinding can be very irritating especially in an imperfect game.

Like Aqualung in FF7. I would never have known how badass that "enemy skill" was had I not just been messing around in the field to gain some quick xp :o

Aqualung is best if you get it at the end of disk one while fighting Jenova. If you wait untill later in the game to get it, its not as usefull.
Back on topic... I dont mind grinding at all. I actually like knowing that every monster you kill gets you a little closer to becoming all powerful!

Run 10 steps, battle, run 5 steps battle, run 12 steps, battle, .... my god so friggin frustrating. But on the level grinding point, yea, I like it too. Like in FF10 I was so jacked up i think I killed the final boss so quickly. Its fun to make your characters almost godly after alot of work. Definitely a reason why I hate when games attach enemy skill growth to your own skill growth. Takes the incentive away to upgrade your char.

i really don't get what you ppl see in that game
da_illest101
- its exclusive
- people can claim to be 'good' if they play it a lot because its 'hard'
- diablo 3 isnt out yet
thats all i can think of.

-Being exclusive has nothing to do with anything really.
-Everyone who has reviewed it has said its not just "hard" but punishingly HARD.
-Diablo 3 has nothing to do with Demons souls.. they are very differnt games.
Also the game has some unique online features that I dont think have been done before. Not only does PS3 need more games like this.. This whole Gen needs more games like this.
lol I bought a PS3 just because Demons Souls is exclusive and something that is different from all the other games out there

I know FF12 got rid of it and having it this day and age is just stupid. Looking forward to some good rpgs in the next 6-8 months, this gen has been seriously lacking in that genre.
Well, I don't mind that kind of grinding, because it's actually constructive, not just eating up your time and patience in exchange for decreased difficulty. I assumed that shutdown meant level grinding, though.Cherokee_Jack
Yeah thats exactly what i meant. Like Jandurin said, DS is a mix of both but its alot more on the level grinding side. The difficulty people constantly refer to, its probably the game mechanics but like i said you can easily master that in an hour or day. Its so different (well atleast from anything ive played) that it takes people by suprise and probably takes them alot longer to get their head around it.
But once they do, its pure grinding from there. And like me, Jandurin and 110million said, thats exactly what we want.

I only have one class in the morning so I'm all set. :P Gonna' sniff the foil right off the Deluxe Edition!I.Cant.Freaking.Wait.
Im actually thinking of signing myself out of my last few periods of School tomorrow to no life the game for the rest of the day!

I really hope the Cows/Sony Fanboys actually plan on enjoying this game, and arent just hyping DS for the sake of it being a AAA exclusive..
I can totally see a few people not even getting too far in the game, and quitting due to the brutal difficulty, then turning around and praising it on SW just because it's a Highly rated Ps3 game...which is pretty lame.

Sorry, I only buy games that are possible to beat.
Ziek-AAT
Nice attempt at trying to bash the game.
I'll LMAO if this scores higher than any 360 RPG.
360 rpg?...what does that have to do with anything?...there was nothing fanboy-ish about his' statement. All hhe said was,he only likes games that are possible to beat, not too mention from his' sig, it shows he also owns a PS3.So I have no idea why you thought he's a lemming.Did you ever stop to think maybe Superhard games just arent his' cup of tea?.
and who cares about scores...this game could get a 6.5,and it would still be awesome!
GOTC is spyro year of the dragon ...>,>Ratchet_Fan8w00t. spyro = awesome until it died after year of the dragon.
Hmm after reading the Destructiod article I started to wonder how many reviewers have actually finished DS?

it's a fair game.if you die it's because you made a foolish move or werent properly equipped/Lvled. The Game isnt cheap like NG2 where 3 enemies are spamming rockets at you.

Like I posted a page back. The Destructiod review couldn't complete the game in time. But instead of blaming the game he blamed it on his faulty strategy's.[QUOTE="110million"][QUOTE="Jandurin"]I hope Amazon ships mine out quickly :(JandurinYeah its weird, this is the first time I pre-ordered through Amazon, typically I get my orders 1-2 day after, and the estimated shipping date is 3 days after my ship date, but for DS it says shipping on the 6th, but estimated 14-15th, so I'm consued, I hope its some sort of bug and I do get it later this week.. Shipping estimate: October 13, 2009 :( I did the free shipping, so they always add a week, I do hope they don't actually take the whole week to get it out  By the time you get Demon's Souls, I will have already ascended to demonhood. I will stand on an alter of human bone and sacrifice the souls of my enemies to dark gods. My existence will be a churning smokestack in the void, you will turn on your game and my presence will enter the world and the world will shudder. Your controller will vibrate momentarily before sputtering out, black smoke will pour out of your PS3, and the nightmares of mankind will emerge from your television set.

Yeah, this game is awesome. Demon's Souls is the greatest game out there. It's a shame most people just can't handle it. I may start a support group for those who can't handle the awesomeness. Something like "Don't Worry, You'll Be a Man Someday".... Demon's Souls.... AGGGGGGGGGHhh. AAAAA! AHhhhhhhhhhhh! - The only appropriate response to a game this badass is to scream until your head explodes and then go outside and dragon kick a tree through a car.
